He rigs ratings, fixes fights, pays off officials, and is responsible for John Ruiz.

Plus he robs fighters blind. Has contract clauses that give him promotional rights over you should you beat one of his fighters, and he robs fighters blind.

Did I mention he robs fighters blind?

Don King, whether you like him or not, did put together bouts that meant something....Unification. The fights Don King promoted were what fight fans demanded, and most of the time, got. Many a fighters were "short changed" out of revenues...Mohamed Ali, Mike Tyson, Ken Norton, and the list can go on. Maybe he was scheming on the fighters pay, but he did things old school....the "Winner" got the bigger purse!!

Now a days promoters want "thier" fighters getting the bigger pay check. Sure some fighters can draw a larger crowd than others, but we all see too much controversy in todays main events.

If things were done the way Don King ran things (Winner take all) we'd see today's elite fighters, fight for the "KO" and not settle for a decision, and laugh all the way to the bank.

Think about it...If you knew that even though you would lose, you were still walking away with 20 mil, you're heart just wouldn't be in as much as if you 'KNEW' that winning meant everything.

Totally agree with you, especially there. Thats why I hate Warren who waits 40ish fights for his fighters to fight a good opponent.

Its a diservice to both the fans and the fighters.
