Everytime I discuss great fighters with boxing fans, anytime I mention joe Frazier people look at me as if I'm ******. Frazier seems to be the unwilling target of a lot of hate from people who watch boxing, at least the ones I've conversed with over the years anyways. And I never really got why nobody mentions Frazier when they talk of all time greats. I'm not saying the man was one of the top 5 of all time but he's definately in the top 50 as far as I'm concerned.
Here was a guy who won a gold medal at the '64 Olympics, was in the '69 "Fight of the Year", beat Muhammad Ali in his prime in the "Fight of the Century" and retired with a record of 32-4-1 (27KOs). Was it just a matter that he couldn't outshine Ali, even in victory?
