this is gonna be an exciting fight i'm lookin forward to it. bautista i think will win this one, but ponce de leon looks to be a smart fighter. i only seen a few of their fights but they both look like they can match up very well.

This one seems to be very enertaining. Bautista showed some good grit against Medina in his last fight. Both have pretty good power and both can lack in defense at times. I'll be rooting for Bautista, but De Leon's power will present a problem for him.

Golden Boy catches alot of flak but I love the Boxing World Cup idea and this fight is a product of that idea. It should be an explosive one, and Gonzalez-Penalosa is a good fight too.

For all the criticism GBP has received and continues to endure (and rightfully so, who can forget Barrera-Fana on HBO PPV?), let's give them some credit. They are capable of garnering more press for boxing than any other promoter because DLH is still very much relevant.

They put together some solid cards (last year's Barrera-Juarez II PPV card was fantastic, this year's Hopkins-Winky and JMM-Barrios cards are shaping up very nicely despite the possibility of the main events not being overly exciting and/or competitive, etc) and they've finally buried the hatched with Arum, which helps boxing immensely. Let's not foget they had a tremendous BAD planned with Katsidis-Guzman and Larios-Linares that was unfortunately canceled.

hope your right brad, I really hope you are. I am split on this 50/50 due to Bautista being "too green". I am more worried for Bautista than I was for Gerry. Can't wait though, this will be a heart pounding bout for sure on both sides.

My problem with Boom Boom is that of all the great gifts he has, everything he does is off the front end. He's another Pacquiao type fighter with some fancy moves, but cannot get out of the way of a right hand lead. He's tough as nails and hits like a ton of bricks, but he's definitely in tough against Ponce.

I do believe he'll beat Ponce, but it's going to be a tough fight both guys.

He is more ot Tito like fighter and exicting to watch going with Boom Boom.

DeLeon hype of punch power came when he KOed Sod in there 2nd fight. It was a counter shot where Sod powerup and put all his body on the left cross and DeLeon doing the same. It similar to Donoria KOing Vic
