Don King's Fighters and Long Periods of Inactivity

I've noticed that after a Don King fighter loses, it often seems to take forever before they fight again. Even when they're winning, it sometimes takes a ridiculously long time between fights.

There's lots of examples: Lyakhovich, Braithwaite, Donald, Beck, Ruiz...

Long periods of inactivity can ruin a boxers career. Some of these fighters like Owen Beck have ended up angrily breaking away from King after a year or so, and expressing their disappointment with him.

Don King is no good for boxing. Hope he gets old soon...
It is absolutely ridiculous for any young fighter to wait more than 5-6 months between each fight, let alone a year or more.
Unless you get a beating, a bad cut or get knocked out, you should fight as often as you can.

Lyakhovich really should break away from Don King, if he can. As his months of inactivity keep going by, his potential has been gradually slipping away. It's sad because he's an exciting fighter - his match with Brewster was one of the best heavyweight fights I've seen.
