    How Do Boxing Fans Rate:

These two boxers, Michael Nunn, Antwuan Echols, they are from my city of Davenport, Iowa and we don't have many athletes or anything from here with the exception of UFC. So I was wondering how these guys are percieved in the boxing world by other fans. B/c I think they both had a lot of talent and plus Echols has another fight already scheduled for August 3rd. He lost his last fight on the Hatton/Castillo undercard but they didn't broadcast the Echols fight!!!!

Nunn was extremely skilled and fast but a coke head. Echols was a monster and had a big punch. Neither HOF, maybe Nunn.

There is not a single fighter in all my years of following the sport that I wanted to see lose as badly as I did Michael Nunn. Smirking, frowning, & slapping his way through the majority of his fights, made me want to see him flattened. I don't really care that he won most of his fights, & was obviously talented. His KO of Sumbu Kalambay was an aberration.
Nunn was a straight-up clown, who made mistakes that would eventually be capitalized on. I loved it when Toney took him out. A true highlight.

I always respected Echols. He was a big puncher, had a ton of balls, could fight, & was in a lot of excellent fights.

Echols' power was amazing and I feel he never really got much credit for it because he never really took center stage. Nunn was lightning fast but I just never cared for him for some reason, I respected him but he never grabbed my attention.

Michael Nunn will be remembered as a waste of talent.

During his time at 160, I think he gives problems to most middleweights in history due to his height, speed, and unorthodox style. But he faded and got stopped against Toney, and despite winning another title at 168, never fulfilled his potential.

As for Echols, I love watching the Brewer fight and Hopkins rematch.
