Tony Thompson in Ring Magazine Top Ten Heavyweights

This week's Ring Magazine ratings were released this morning, and Tony Thompson has moved up into the #10 position, after an impressive TKO win over Luan Krasniqi on Saturday.

Thompson has long been underrated IMO. Whoever he fights next - possibly the winner of Ibragimov vs. Chagaev - is in for a tough battle.

Who is this guy, is he a Don King fighter? If so he will get a title shot soon.

I couldn't agree more, his wierd southpaw style makes him a very tough opponent for anybody, and he's like 6'5 or 6'6 with a long reach, he can give anyone trouble..

Yes, I think Wlad Klitschko would have a more difficult time against him than against anyone else, partly because of his being a southpaw.

Against Krasniqi he threw A LOT of punches, unfortunately he is too slow and with his akward punching style he doesn't seem to have much power.

No doubt Thompson is decent to say the least. He is a very skilled boxer and has shown some pop lately.....I like him to give anyone a good scrap.

Thompson deserves to be in the top 10.

And I'd have him beating all of the title holders easily besides Wlad.

He's got an extremely awkward southpaw style thats very hard to beat plus he's tall.

And he's earned his title shot against the winner of Ibragimov/Chagaev when he beat Krasniqi in a WBO eliminator.
