2007 Mid-Year Fight of the Year Candidates

I haven't seen all the fights from 2007, but from what I have seen, there are 3 that stick out:

    Darrell Woods MD8 Samuel Miller
    Kelly Pavlik TKO7 Edison Miranda
    Miguel Cotto TKO11 Zab Judah

Although Pavlik-Miranda was quite entertaining, I think it was a bit too one-sided for it to get the FOTY award.

Cotto-Judah would have had a chance, if Zab didn't fade in the late rounds and stop punching like he always does in big fights.

I don't think Woods-Miller will be able to get the fight of the year, mostly because it is such a small-scale fight. I mean, when is the last time that an 8 round fight got a huge award like FOTY?

One that I missed from earlier this year that I heard was very good was the Barrera-Marquez fight, which I am going to have watch soon, so that could be included in the discussion if not for my ignorance. Does anyone have any good fights that they think should be included in the FOTY talks from 2007?

    Cotto Vs Judah

It's Cotto/Judah or Williams/Margarito so far for me.

Earl vs katsidis for the best fight in europe but the yanks never saw it so it wont get foty.
Other than that i'd say proberly cotto vs judah as it had everything, low blows knockdowns, cotto being hurt numerous times and finally a ko by cotto in the late rounds.

Earl Katsidis was the first time i'd ever seen Katsidis fight and i was really impressed. i cant wait to see him fight on sat. It would have been good for him to fight Guzman. Shame it never happened

Bell/Mormeck II for me at this point. Marquez/Vasquez in there as well. Even though the fight was stopped short it was competitive throughout.

Bell v.s. Mormeck II by far.

And I'm just convinced there are too many people who haven't seen it.
