De La Hoya needs to retire

I was sitting back and thinking about DLH. I think the man should just hang up the gloves and call it a day. I mean with his business ventures and what not he's not truely focused on fighting anymore. I mean he's not doing hisself any good by fighting only once a year. That might work if he was fighting a nobody but hes coming back as a welterweight. That division has a decent number of dangerous opponents and I'm just wondering if he can handle it. I just think he should finally retire. What do you guys think.

I love watching DLH fight but he is really starting to meddle to much with whats good for boxing.

How can you say that.......when he:

A.) Put up an excellent fight against Floyd (Best Oscar we've seen in years)

B.) Decided to make 147 pounds again.

Anyone who can go up in weight like that, and come back down clearly shows he's working hard as **** and is willing to fight.

He's an instant contender at 147 now and will show that in the future. There's just no denying that in my book.

He must still have a love to fight. Because he has all the money in the world so you know it's not totally about that. Plus every fight he's in is big and honestly good for boxing. He's never gotten totally beaten up or been in too many wars so I think his health is all right. So I really don't mind still seeing him fight.

well put, I agree, however he is starting to piss me off with some of the fights he may prevent.

Agreed on that, he's always done it his way.

But I will say he wont fight less than stellar comp at 147 and my logic is:

There flat out isn't much non stellar comp at 147..........lmfao.

Ashame, Oscar has a bunch of gay fans who will pay to watch the old-timer still fight even though he has shown with his last fight he's not even in boxing for honor anymore but for a big fat pay-check. He threw the ****tiest flurries I've ever seen anyone throw in a boxing match against floyd

Oscar is still sharp, I dont know why people would want him to retire.

he should fight cotto or kermit... life is about having "it" and as long as "it" is boxing, limelight, and competition he should fight
