    Gatti vs Leija

Gatti will defend his title against Leija towards the end of the year. It sounds like a good matchup, but does Leija still have it at 38 years old? He did good against a much younger Bojado, but Gatti is bigger and stronger. Does Leija have a chance? or will he share the same fate as Dorin?

actually it doesnt sound like a good fight
it would have a couple years back
but at the moment its nothing more then a decent fight
i just hope this one doesnt end up being stopped cuz of cuts
    by either guy
get ready, both of these guys cut like their skin was made of tissue, to see one bloody fight

It doesnt look like a good fight.

Gatti turned down about $3,000,000 to face Hatton so he could beat up Leija

Gatti's had it easy in the last two fights, and this could be his 3rd easy nights work in a row!! He need to step it up or let a hungry fighter have that WBC belt.

You mean a hungry fighter that will leave his country and fight with nonpartisan judges?

Jesse James has surprised me before...so I'm not ready to discount him.

One problem....Jesse's heart is not in the game 100%.
I think he hung tough with Bojado in order to secure himself a big payday.
Gatti would be that payday. Jesse may not give it his all if the $$$$ is already there.
I don't mean to insult leija, who has had a terrific career, & has been in a lot of good fights over a VERY long time.
But, I think he didn't want anymore of both Tszyu & Ward once they started putting it on him.

This fight too me is very dissappointing. I love Gatti with all of my heart but he has definately not engaged in fights with top guys in his last several fights. The GAtti/ward fights were amazing but Ward is simply a limited fighter that has been dominated by top level pros. Gatti fought Branco who was tough and put up a good scrap but was not the guy you are interested in seeing Gatti fight, Dorin.. a very tough little some ***** but he is too small and not a top guy at 140. Now Leija, cmon-I was pissed when Tzsyu fought Leija and I am pissed now. I love you Gatti, if anyone was allowed to take it easy for a while it's you but lets get serious after Jesse JAmes, please.

I'm assuming you are talking about Hatton.

Why would he leave the UK where all his ticket buying fans are, go to America and fight Mike Stewart for less money??

There is nobody in America who will fight him.
