lol, I'm a Mayweather fan but somebody just mentioned how Oscar always has to take a shot at Floyd and I was just thinking it must suck to loose to this guy, he talks all that **** NONSTOP and you know his opponent is sitting there thinking, I can't wait to get him in the ring and knock that ****ing smile off his gotdamn face, and then after the fight you see his hand raised and he goes into his dramatics with the crying and ****, lmao I know that **** sucks I could only imagine. but yea Oscar wants this fight so he can beat up on Hatton and make a fat payday off of the combination of his and Hatton's fanbase, he knows Hattons name alone draws money and Oscar will dismantle him and have everyone on his nuts again, Lampley will make it like Oscar is the greatest to ever step in the ring because he beat up on somebody that was overmatched, and Merchant will interview him with the giddieness of a 13 yr old school girl with that goofy smile on his face, even though I don't care for Hatton too much I would love to see him get a fluke Knockout on Oscar, a nasty one too like Tarver - Jones, eyes closed and all lol.Last edited by mdoe; 07-16-2007, 02:36 AM.Comment

May 5th 2007 de la hoya wins this fight though.

if a different hatton appears @ 147 then yes, he may have a chance - however, i don't know how anyone, judging by ricky's last foray into 147, could have hatton close to winning this fight against odlh.
hatton almost lost to a guy in collazo who has good speed, good strength and good conditioning. odlh has better speed and way better strength - conditioning would be the appropriate variable for ricky to capitalize on.
so in short, ricky, based on his welterweight debut flat out loses to odlh.Comment

Oscar retire please, NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOU ANYMORE
The last time Oscar weighed in at 147 was in 2001 against Gatti. He won, but 3 months later moved up to 154. At his age, I do not see him easily making the 147 limit, it will rob him of the remaining/eroded power he has. And if a boxer has better quickness/speed and is elusive, he now does not want to fight them, instead he wants a one dimensional fighter so he will not have to truly have a tactical plan or expend energy, not to mention he wants a much smaller fighter who is a natural 140 punder...wow
All this "Oscar is a warrior" crap is ridiculous - He has won only 2 of his last 5 fights, one against Mayorgara and the other agaist Felix Sturm - and he REALLY LOST TO STURM, MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT! His so called legacy is fading quickly and he gets much credit even when it is not deserved.
Oscar, we realize you dont have any highly recognizeable opponents at 154 so either go back to 160 or fight a true 147 pounder. Guess he will be gunning for Juan Diaz or Manny P. next.Comment
