Good fight. Margarito fought hard, and laded the harder shots, didn't fade, only got stronger towards the end, and was actually a round away from getting a DRAW. He has every human right to think he won the fight. I'd disagree with him, but I didn't just put my life on the line to entertain some bastard fans.

He has every right to think he won?? When I thought it was obvious he barely won 3 rounds?? Yeah, and Chavez beat Whitaker too right??

RwK if I remember you claimed Marg won it at first but then you changed it up to a more convincing win by Williams

all he had to do was throw more punches, every time it looked like margarito was gaining ground williams went and took it back with some punches, whter they all landed or not, it was enough to give the impression that he(williams) thwarted margarito's attack.

when you watch a guy get peppered all night with shots and he only lands a handful of them in his counter attack it looks like he's losing unless his handful of shots are doing serious damage. some of his shots did but they didn't change the tide of the fight or stop williams from doing his thing.

like i said, i had it 7 rounds to 5 for williams, had margarito won the last round it would've been a draw on my score card........ it was a close fight and tougher to judge when there are a high number of punches being thrown but i think the scoring was fair. it was a pro margarito crowd in his adopted hometown with two california judges, what more did he need?

Margarito lost the opportunity for a draw in the 12th round. I had it 6 rounds to 5 going into the 12th but he didnt do much so paul took it. Paul way of winning was at a distance once Margarito got close he was scoring more. Lets watch Paul vs Kermit

I think Margarito is one of those guys that people really hate on this message board, somewhat like Hatton and Calzaghe and I suspect Manny Pacquiao (though he hasn't fought for a while so I haven't experienced anti-Pacman garbage).

It's not Margarito fault, if you're gonna talk a lot of isht, you better back it up. I blame Bob Arum for putting his fighter in that position.

damn, anyone watch the post-fight interview? It looks like williams was hit by a freight train.

I guess all them blocked shoots by margarito didnt mean a damn thing. I have to give it to williams though, he can take a punch. I thought for sure them body shoots were going to take there toll.
