A Serious Discussion On The Possibility of RJj.Calzaghe

This thread is in response to this post from another thread. But before I paste it I want to have a serious discussion about RJj.Calzaghe. Lets not get petty here w/manical mania.

    I dont understand that logic.

I also dont understand people who say Calzaghe has never fought outside the UK. Neither have 99% of american boxers including Jones himself.

Also, Calzaghe has never touched Roids or Balco or any other crap as far as i`m aware.

Jones on the other hand has shot most of his grandma's medicine cabinet up his ass.

Cuz the best names on Joes record is Sheika, a way over rated Lacy, and a old ass Eubanks. Even Joes biggest fans here say Eubanks is his best win.
    Joe is over rated...period.

The reason for all the UK bashing...honestly is cuz its profoundly corrupt against foreign fighters. They try and build up the hometown guy waaaay too much.

There will always be hometown decisions, it happens in the US as well...nothing will change that...but the US is NOT known for doing it as a movement against UK fighters OR any other nation. Foreign guys win all the time here.

You dont see stoppages like Cal.Manfredo...Cal.Mitchell....dirty reffin ala Dave Parris in Hatton.Tszyu and Cal.Mitchell. Even Al Berstein, who is the best unbiased non yes-man in the biz said it "was a gift" and "a shady call."

I have nothing but love for Brits...word!

But they way their conducting themselves in blindness w/the hometown hype machine is degrading. I know ya'll need a champ and **** but wouldnt it be that much more sweeter if it was for real?

Do you know Joe? How do you knopw what he takes? RJj did Twinlab Ripped Fuel. I've taken it....tons of people taken/took it. When its said that product was "roids," that swhen they put coffee beans in the roid category.

For the record, I never thought Lacy would win. I wanted him to win, but I saw him fight before and was far from impressed. I'm from Boston, USA and dissing my home-town fighter and I feel OK about it.

Is the best win on Roys record Hopkins? And as of now Hopkins would beat the ever living **** out of roy, and roy knows that. Hopkins is older and would give a boxing lesson to the younger roy. Hopkins never dodged a rematch against roy, roy dodged Hopkins

Bernard priced himself out, after he beat trinidad a blown up SW, he lot he was a star, but at that time roy was still p4p 1, roy in his prime always beats hopkins.

wtf are you talking about? Hopkins wanted to split 50-50 when he had no right to.

Jones' style is based on speed and reflexes. When you get older you start to lose that. Hopkins is a conventional fighter, and his defense helps him fight into his 40's.

Eubank was 31 when he lost to Calzaghe. Are you saying that 31 is over the hill? Calzaghe beat Lacy down and Calzaghe was 33. Age is immaterial. Eubank was world class, defeated Nigel benn who we all know ripped his way through the American middleweights.

The reason for all the UK bashing...honestly is cuz its profoundly corrupt against foreign fighters. They try and build up the hometown guy waaaay too much.
If you want to talk about corruption you should watch most of Don Kings shows for the past 20 years. Holyfield vs Lewis was corruption.
Did Lacy get a raw deal in his Loss? Was manfredo winning the fight when it was stopped, or was he just sitting on the ropes not doing anything at all. The referee isn`t in the head of the boxer, if he does nothing, he assumes he is hurt.

Maybe you want people to die in the ring, but we dont.

Mitchell was out on his feet. Hattons only indiscretion was hitting Tzsyu with a low blow. if you dont like his style, dont watch, simple as that really. Who cares what a journalist in the US thinks?

But they way their conducting themselves in blindness w/the hometown hype machine is degrading. I know ya'll need a champ and **** but wouldnt it be that much more sweeter if it was for real?
I`ve never seen a post about how great a british fighter is, only ones that bash them and then people respond. Why do you care if British people hype up British fighters? The amount of utter **** people talk on here about American fighters JUST because they are American outweighs anything Britiish people say.

Do you know Joe? How do you knopw what he takes? RJj did Twinlab Ripped Fuel. I've taken it....tons of people taken/took it. When its said that product was "roids," that swhen they put coffee beans in the roid category.
You ask me if i know Joe, then you give me a line that implies you have been watching what RJJ eats and injects. You must know that steroid use is rampant in all US sports. I`ve lost count of the amount of boxers, athletes etc who have been implicated by third party AMERICAN sources.

For the record, I never thought Lacy would win. I wanted him to win, but I saw him fight before and was far from impressed. I'm from Boston, USA and dissing my home-town fighter and I feel OK about it.

Well you are in the minority.

Eubank was near the end when he fought calzaghe,

In primes in Jones wins by comfortable UD,

Now Calzaghe has more of a chance, ill try and watch the hanshaw fight when i have time,

Stylistically, i give the advantage to Jones, although i dont know how much he has left anymore.

the problem with RJJ is that 99% of his opponents were nobodies, his only good win was against Hopkins who wasn`t as good as he was going to be and then RJJ fights people like tarver and Johnson and gets brutally KO'd.

People should stop wearing Roy tinted spectacles and reliving the days of him fighting roided up with his hands behind his back.

The man fought nobodies and was probably juicing.

Dont forget prime toney who was unbeaten, Mike Mc Callum and Virgil Hill are also highly rated.

See my question to you in the other thread.

Also, Steriods dont enhance boxing skills as far as i know, there are different types of steriods, you dont just take them and become superman, its likely to have been related to jones needing to put on weight, and muscle as he moved up through the divison.

When toney beat ruiz, they found steriods in his system, however as far as i know they were never proven to be PERFORMANCE ENHANCING steriods, thus toney beat ruiz fair and square, and was robbed of his heavyweight title.

they weren`t proved not to be performance enhancing.

Steroids can improve endurance, power, speed, everything.

As far as i`m concerned, if someone takes steroids to put on weight, or whether they take them to improve stamina, is the same thing, its cheating.
