I just got done watching the Roy fight, he looked good, but you could see some ring rust, his timing was off just a little and his accuracy was a little off. Also you could see he was trying to take a page out of the old Ali book and hang on the ropes more now instead of being in the center of the ring all the time like he did when he was younger, he should really try to get one more tune up fight in the fall like he was talking about, but who do you guys think he should go after next if he decides to go after a big name instead, Trinidad, winner of Calzaghe - Kessler, Taylor, Winky, Miranda, Lacy, Glenn Johnson, or Chad Dawson? I think any one of those is a good fight.

go in to the video trading section and the jones vs hanshaw fight is in the thread about all the fights on saturday night. Use a program called VLC player to watch it cause the file is not a windows media player file. vlc is free and quick to dload and install.
As for roy jones, i watched the fight too and was extremely impressed with the skills and talent jones still has,as for next i think he should take on the winner of winky wright vs hopkins. or a glen johnson rematch.Comment

yea that's who I would like to see him fight, Calzaghe doesn't really throw anything with conviction it's a lot of pitty pat boxing with him, he just wears you down because he's very slick defensively, but Roy wouldn't expend his energy like Lacy did trying to knock his head off the whole fight, so I could see this being a very entertaining fight, but I doubt Joe would ever land anything that could really hurt Roy, and i can see Roy winning this thing by a SD. He won't get a knockout unless Calzaghe get's tired which it looks like he does in the latter rounds, and we all know Jones isn't the type to get a TKO, he doesn't believe in punishing somebody on the ropes like that if he can't knock them out. It was amazing to see the restraint he had in this fight after he knocked Hanshaw down, the announcers and the crowd where screaming for him to finish him but Roy didn't throw another punch for the remaining 30 seconds of the round, he just doesn't want to hurt anybody like that, I can respect that about him, but it's weird because most boxers are trying to really hurt you, lol a humanitarian boxer.Comment

I wouldn't mind seeing him take on "the Roadwarrior" either, I think Glen Johnson caught Roy at the right time, right after his ego was deflated, and he had doubts about himself, but I couldn't see Johnson doing that again. And he said he wants nothing to do with BHop because of all the games he plays, whatever that means.Comment

Roy looked good, considering his age and lack of activity. I'd personally like to see him retire. but If he must have one more fight though, let it be against Trinidad, because that's a safe fight for Roy and it's pretty much in the bag. I'd be nervous to see him fight Glen again, you know Glen would fight like he has nothing to lose.Comment
