you must live in an alternative universe if you think Williams Cotto would be even remotely close to what Williams did to Sharmba. I know you dont like Cotto but be realistic, Cotto is the best body puncher in the business and Paul Williams is giving tickets away to beat him to the ribs.

Miguel Cotto is noticeably more consistent, a much better body puncher than Magarito, would not hinder if Paul Williams went to clinch him, is quicker, and having a disadvantage of height gives Cotto an advantage by putting him in an ample body punching position. He would pretty much win the rounds the way Margarito did, but more efficiently and thoroughly. Cotto's chin isn't exactly top tier stuff, but remember that Paul Williams was throwing numerous slaps not real jabs against Margarito. Those flicking slaps isn't going to stop Cotto from throwing counters to the body. I'll say The Punisher will throw 100 punches in the first 2 rounds, then it'll start to gradually sink down. Paul Williams would be worn out and wouldn't be able to endure those hard body shots, he might as well donate his organs, Cotto will beat him until he coughs them up. When Cotto sets his mind to something that he knows that works, the fight always goes his way. Let Paul Williams clinch him, he'll be in so much pain that he won't realize he's trying to hug a 5'07" man!!! BEST BODY PUNCHER AT WW, no debate, no dispute, Miguel Cotto KO Round 6. Margarito shook him up huh?

But to be honest I don't think we'll be seeing this fight, having a promoter of both Cotto and Margarito... lol.

such an easy fight for williams. williams will land at will and cotto does not have the chin or recovery power to walk thru it like margarito did. don't say he upgraded his chin or defense cause he hasn't. cotto's defense is a lot worse than margarito's(almost impossible to do) this is an epic beat down and williams sends cotto back to lowblow land (puerto rico)

Cotto by KO, I can't believe the piss poor opinion some of you guys have of Cotto. Not only is he a humble and decent man, but he is a great fighter. What he lacks in skill he makes up for in heart. Perhpas you haven't seen all of his fights or perhaps its just a plain dislike but Cotto is a champ for a reason. He threw a couple of low blows in the judah fight and suddenly he's the dirtiest fighter in the game? Don't get me wrong I love Paul Williams, great work rate, decent style, good heart. He's nice, and humble, confident that he's gonna win. But cotto has fought way better opposition and his attack to the body is devistating. You remember when Cotto beat the guy on the arms so much he quit in his corner. Thats the kind of abuse Williams is gonna face and honestly after watching the Margarito/Williams fight I just don't see williams staying in there for the long haul. I could be wrong but I think this would be a perfect time for Cotto to take Williams out befor Williams gets better. I think a fight between Cotto and Cintron would be worse for Cotto.

both men have big advantages here.

            cotto's work to the body

            williams' inordinate reach and height

honestly, i can see cotto ko'ing and stopping paul easy and i can see paul cruising to a nice UD win on the cards - one things for certain, paul isn't ko'ing cotto.

if i were arum, i'd say **** it - bring on williams, lets have our boy pass EVERYONE up in the welterweight division w/ a potential victory over williams, the biggest enigma in the WW division.

Margarito could still beat Cotto In my opinion because styles make fights, Williams would beat Cotto, there is a reason why Arum is not putting him in with Williams, Paul walks around 180 pounds when he is not training, and he is actually 6'3 who throws over 100 punches a round, I still dont know how he makes Welterweight....But this is not a good matchup for Cotto, Williams would beat him.

Only Cotto is smaller than Margarito, so Paul is going to have a much easier time keeping him at bay with his jab. The only way Cotto is going to get inside is by lunging, which will set up counter uppercut opportunities for Paul. There's a reason nobody in the division wants to fight this guy, and now they all know he can take a big shot and keep going.

                  Williams by UD.

??? Ha! Cotto destroys Williams. You don't REALLY think Cotto needed to cheat to beat a guy like Judah? Hey Satori, sorry your girl left you for a PR. You are miserable in every post when it comes to any PR fighter. Look at Cotto's career and see if he ever relied on dirty fighting... Now ask yourself the same question when it comes to Judah.
