Well, he was set to fight Margarito if he won... You mean to tell me that the Williams fight would generate any less than the Margarito fight would have. Especially now that we've seen Williams in a BIG fight against a very good opponent...

lmao, funny, but from a business standpoint I can kinda see where he is coming from, "take the big money with SSM - Cotto, let PWill fight some more fights to get his name out there, maybe a Margarito rematch , which seems more likely given the breaking news and lack of an opponent unless he fights Cintron, or something with the winner of Hatton - Mayweather", meanwhile he's banking on Cotto to win against SSM to set up a bigmoney fight with either Hatton or Mayweather, and then after that if Cotto looses he's already a megastar so it won't matter but also keeping hope that PWill retains his title so that Cotto can fight him for the title setting up another PPV spectacular staring Miguel Cotto....but then again I'm high so this is all speculation

Yeah, Margarito-Cotto is a bigger fight because of the Mexican/Puerto Rican factor. It has 2 HUGE built in demographics which would sell out almost any venue in US and generate 400k buys. Also that fight was signed before Margarito agreed to fight Williams.

Its only narrow minded haters that can come up with reasons to illogically fault Cotto for taking Mosley.

Mosley is just as dangerous if not more so than Paul. Mosley is better for Cotto's legacy and Mosley would bring in more money.

On top of that the window to fight Mosley is smaller than against Paul.

Now tell me why should Cotto fight Williams before Mosley?

LOL, I can picture that little midget with his pigmie arms trying to punch at Paul Williams. It would look like a little kid trying to beat up his big brother while the big brother just holds him at bay by palming his forehead.

Bad match-up, it would look like a circus event.

So cotto is fighting mosley next? Awesome =D, though is he still set to fight De la hoya? Wasn't that going to happen? I hope DLH fights before May 3rd also. Hell maybe he can fight williams in the meantime.

The welter division could bring boxing back on the map.
              That sounds quite nice.

I hear you... To start the unification... Mosley doesnt have a decent win at WW since DLH in 2000... More respect... Margarito just lost to Williams. Williams should fight Cotto because Margarito was signed to fight him next.

I can probably come up with a few more...

Well, the guy is 6'3 and hbo lies about his height, he's not 6'1. He shouldn't even be allowed to fight in the welt-weight class at 6'3. Why doesn't he ****ing fight at middleweight or super-middle weight. Hell, he came into this fight at 162 ****ing pound.
