    A Great Night For Boxing?

Well guys, now that its over what do you think? It sounds like all the fights were somewhat entertaining no matter how long they lasted. I think it was a very good night for boxing. Every fight made you want to talk and get excited. I was actually surprised by Gomez. I know Gatti isnt much but he still was very impressive. I wouldnt mind seeing him get a chance. I wouldnt even mind seeing him fight Hatton

I didn't see the HBO fights. What happened? The Roy Jones Jr. fight was great, that was worth $29.99.IMO

I agree I was throughly enertained with the fights and wish that every weekend was like this or at least once a month. I liked Gomez performance I mean we all know that Gatti isnt there anymore, but Gomez seemed relaxed and not nervous with the moment and seemed very professional. Best performance by a contender alum by far.

Gomez proved to be a lot more solid fighter than I had originally gave him credit for. Even though Gatti is past his prime and in a higher weight class than he should be, I thought Gatti's experience would prevail. But props to Gomez who fought a smart well calculated fight.

Cintron looked unhuman. Ive never seen anyone look like that since George Foreman.

Gatti was pretty much a punching bag but fought bravely. Gomez seemed highly skilled and caught me completely off guard. I dont think he can hang with the big boys at 147 but he looks like he could definatly be on that next level.

Williams & Margarito put on the FOTY. Both fought at a high level and have nothing to be ashame of. I think both guys wouldve beat just about anyone else in the sport tonight but someone had to lose

It was hard to watch Gatti get handled like that. After the first two rounds. I said "Even if he gets lucky and knocks out Gomez he still needs to retire." He just couldn't avoid the punches. I was hoping the old warrior could go out on a win, but it wasn't the case.
