Thank God No Gatti-Chavez Jr. Fight

chavez jr would have ripped gatti to pieces inside of two rounds. i never thought that fight would ever happen, anyway.

Yeah that woulda been a disaster. I haven't had much faith in Gatti since his Mayweather loss. He just wasn't the same mentally. In every fight since then he's shown he can't take as much nor does he want to take as much. I'm glad he's retired. Better for him and for the fans.

Im happy as well. Even if Gatti would have won the fight tonight, I don't think it would have been a good idea. It's just best that Gatti retired and now he can move on to another part of his life. His given us fans enough and Merchant was right they don't make people like Gatti too often.
