Much Respect To Williams & Margarito!!!

I said all year long that this would be the guaranteed FOTY and I think it lived up to that. I also said that I have no ideal who would win because I think Margarito is foreal. I said Williams is a guy you just dont know about. I said he could be Cintron or he could be the next freak like Hearns. I then said that no matter what he wont be Cintron. I said that he may be like Vargas who was rushed into the Tito fight too early but you could tell would be good.

Im seeing alot of post dissing Margarito but thats not right. Ofcourse his fans deserve it and make you mad but you cant take nothing away from the guy. The fact is that if Williams was fighting anyone else tonight then he wouldve straight up dominated them and probally knocked them out the way he was fighting. If Margarito fought anyone else tonight then he wouldve straight up punished them. Thats how high of a level these guys are at. After the Cintron fight tonight I talked about how he looked like a stud and how I now think he's foreal. Then I said that even though he may be great he still may lose his next fight because thats how good the WW division is. Ill say the same after this fight. Just because Margarito lost doesnt make him a bum because he clearly isnt. This guy is foreal but at 147 good and sometimes great fighters will lose because its that deep & talented.

The way Williams fought those first 6 rounds no one couldve survived that. To think that Margarito actually shook that off and came at him like the ****in Terminator was crazy. Williams hit him with like a thousand crisp punches and Margarito was never effected. I also dont want to hear anything else about Williams chin. Margarito wouldve decapitated 95% of the fighters tonight. I cant believe Williams took those punches like water. Both guys have my respect. This is a Margarito type fight so Im not worried about him but I did kind of feel like this was another Chaves-Taylor fight. Im a little worried that this fight will take some out of Williams and he will never be the same. Williams is a monster though. I remember people had on here that Williams is scared and I completely shot that down. He got me so hyped walking to the ring. I said the whole time that he may lose but it wont have nothing to do with fear or confidence because this is a guy who believes he can beat everyone. Much respect to both these guys even though I didnt like Margarito acting like a punk aftewards. Both are 2 warriors

I think the postfight interview is the last we'll ever hear of Margarito crying because from now on, nobody will be listening. Sayonara. Adios.

Did we watch the same fight?

Williams not being the same fighter after this? Why not?
He got hit a couple times, some shots were hard. But neither fighter got any real damage.
As for fight of the year, I don't think so. Not enough drama and on-the-edge moments...
It was a good fight, sure, but not astonishingly so.

I think Margarito is too slow to beat a taller fighter. He just isn't capable of slipping under the jab and explode to the body like he should.
Other than that, he's a tough and strong lad with lots of good fights in front of him.
Williams impressed me with mental toughness and work rate, though I missed power in his punches, especially the jab.

Marg did a good job of trying to stay in the fight. But watching he probably only won three or four rounds max. I really like Paul he showed tremendous and he has a hell of a chin. He took some of Margs best shots.

Williams was very composed out there which is quite impressive given his age. And boy he is a humble kid.

I think Margarito is passing his crack pipe to you, how in the hell you compare this to Chavez/Taylor fight, Williams will not be the same after this fight??

If anything Williams will be better after this fight, **** Williams is still green, he makes alot of amateurish mistakes, he will eventually will get better in time.

DLT I agree with you most of the times but that was one of the most ******est quotes I've read in a long time.

That was very good. Marge LOST. He was out worked, and out hustled through the whole fight. Margirito deserves respect. He took some huge shots from Williams and kept on coming. But thats Marges calling card. And when it was apparent that Williams wasn't going to bow down to the famous Margirito "pressure", the fight was pretty much over. Williams ain't a Mark Brelend type. Great chin, great punch rate.... Heart too? I like Williams. Great skill with the balls to go against the "so called" most ducked fighter? I'm not getting on Marge fans on this. He fought a good fight. But Williams is that DUDE.

i believe in the margarito/williams clash,
the volume of punches that wililams threw affect the decision,
but really margarito was more effective, some of the rounds margarito won but due to williams volume of punches he got the rounds,
and i do understand that's why williams is hard to beat his volume of punches,
but i do think margarito won the fight slightly very close but i would give him the edge
