That's true, and I'd write this off as another Mosley-Forrest scenario, if only I hadn't seen Margarito just squeak by against a few other fighters.

Actually SLW is right i am a strong believer in stlyes make fight but........
Gomez was ****ing Taylor made for a prime Gatti and what happened......
either of them are good welterweights god knows that division is stacked beyond belief but......but based one what i saw is....

Gomez is a below the limit fighter.. i dont really seeing him beat any of the top welterweights and i doubt any of you do (Gatti @ this age or any age is easy to hit)

However Paul williams wasnt that easy to hit if you saw the fight, he sliped he ducked (is hard to do when you are that tall but he did it) and he beat a top welterweight maybe not a welterweight that was ranked to highly among readers or not he did beat him and he beat him convincgly...(spell check)

I truly do think margarito was exposed that a pitty pat hitter (maybe in this fight only) can be a heavy hitter but hey, ali did this all the time this is nothing new and williams has a great victory

Okay, so what's next? Cotto vs Mosley, Floyd vs Hatton, then the winners fight eachother? Sounds good to me. But I would've rather it been reverse. Cotto-Hatton. Floyd - Mosley, then winners.

No one was exposed; turns out Williams belongs with the best at 147. Both guys showed world class game tonight.

Williams did not look like a pitty pat hitter to me. He was throwing long hard shots. Maybe Margarito could win a rematch if he figured something out about Paul late in that fight...but either way, Margarito won't have to worry about that crazy reach vs guys like Cotto, Hatton, Mosley, etc.

i'd love to see a rematch but i dont think paul's people want that. he got a beating in there even though he won. another fight like that can take years off your career. was there no rematch clause in the contract?
