The countershot that Roy landed in the 11th round was a beautiful counter left upercut off the ropes. Roy then followed up with a lead right and knocked hanshaw down.
Roy didnt really go for the knockout ,he just let him off he hook with his clowning around.
Afterwards he said he needed the work ,because he had been off for a year.Comment

Say what you will, for a guy people call washed up he looked pretty sharp out there. Now I'm not saying beating Hanshaw is a great win(or that Hanshaw is a great fighter)but it was a good win without a doubt. Hanshaw was undefeated and 9 years younger. Hanshaw was a legit challenge for a 38 year old Roy Jones Jr. Roy showed that when pinned against the ropes, he still has the fire to punch back. And Roy also showed that his hand speed is still at least 85-90% still there. His reflexes have slowed but he even seemed to have atleast 80-85% of his reflexes back tonight. It was a very good performance.Comment
