    Vega$ Odds Hopkins-Wright

This morning at The Mandalay Bay . Bernard Hopkins +120 , Ronald "Winky" Wright -140 .......... 12 full rounds prop ; Will Go -500 , Won't Go +375 ........Decision / Knockout prop ; Hopkins by K.O. 7/1 , Hopkins by dec. 7/5 , Wright by K.O. 13/2 , Wright by dec. EVEN , 12 round draw 12/1 ........There are pick the round props too , but too many to list here . I know that winky is favoured to win , but this will be his first fight @ 175 . Do you think he can transition as well as Hopkins did ?

No I don't but I don't think it matters though. I think that he barely carried 160 well against Taylor (he was moved by punches hitting his gloves which didn't really happen at 154. That said, I think at some point Bernard will show some age and it figures that it'd be after a one year layoff. Bernard beat a pretty washed up Antonio Tarver (not that I was saying it at the time but now it seems pretty apparent) so I don't consider Hopkins a true 175 pounder. I think that Winky might have some issues with the weight against a guy who throw a lot of punches but Hopkins doesn't really do that. I think Wright by decision at even money is a brilliant bet. Both fighters have been "screwed" in their eyes before (three of their Taylor fights and Winky's fight against Vargas). Neither fighter is fighting at home although its a Golden Boy promotion so any fishy business could be in Hopkins favor if at all. I do worry a bit about a draw scenario but I think Wright in 12 is the smart play.
