    Vega$ Odds

This morning at the Mandalay Bay - Las Vegas .Alfonso Gomez +180 , Arturo Gatti -230 : Walter Mathysse +400 , Kermit Cintron -600 ; Paul Williams -140 , Antonio Margarito +110 ......... July 28 ; Carlos Baldomir +110 , Vernon Forrest -140 ......... September 15 ; Jorge Barrios +260 , Juan Manuel Marquez -320 , Kasim Ouma -350 , Sergio Mora +275 ...... I was really surprised that Margarito was an underdog when i got there this morning. I was expecting to see him at about -150 , instead he was +110 . Anyway , I put 1500 on him for a chance at 1650 , and was surprised again that I actually moved the line with just a $ 1500. bet . Granted , the casinos have their own lines , but still . After I moved the line , odds were Williams -130 , Margarito - Even ... Good luck Tony !

Thats interesting since most of the places which I use to check odds have Margarito as the favorite.

I think Williams is only a favorite in Vegas because I know another guy who bets at the Palm and they also had Williams as a favorite (although only a slight favorite there).

I still think that WALTER MATHYSSE is a very good underdog pick. 4-1 odds is to much IMO. i still think he wins the fight.

No offense but from a gamblers perspective I think thats the worse bet of the 3 fights tonight. However I agree with you they gave Walter too much. Betting on Cintron is around -600.

I think Gomez is the better underdog at about +175. I also think the Williams is a good bet since many places have him at even money.

If I were to bet on Cintron-Walter fight and wanted to get decent odds I would bet on the under not on Walter winning. I think the under is a better risk because if Walter is gonna win its gonna be via KO and Cintron has a great chance of KO'ing Walter. The over under is at 9 1/2 too so thats pretty damn good.

My favorite bet is on bodog with Williams leading the Lederman card through 3 at +120. I think he'll have a good start for sure. I read this morning that supposedly a ton of late money came in on Cintron for his fight with Margarito and he was a Vegas favorite. Sometimes the smart money is off. I think you'll see some real movement with the Gatti and Margarito lines late and I look forward to watching that unfold. I think Gomez money will come in

I have the Cintron U at -180 (it's now -200). The Cintron KO is -210 but I'll trade 2.5 rounds for the chance of the other guy still winning the bet for you. I'm a smidge nervous because Estrada took Cintron to the 10th but Manny thinks its going 7

Yeah, I was really really tempted on betting that line. But I have one better. In the Gatti fight you can get +140 for either fighter getting KD in the fight. Gatti's popularity always scews the odds which is good for those who bet with there minds and not there hearts.

I was waiting all week and the Williams line wasn't really moving that much atleast not the way I was hoping. Williams went from even money to -105 so I figured the late money will probably gon on Williams and so just pulled the trigger.

Good tip, I think that there will be a stoppage tonight. I think Gomez could be TKO'd for punishment and I definitely could see Arturo being stopped since I think he's pretty much a shot fighter. I don't know if they will trade a bunch of knockdowns but I think there should be one. The under for the fight isn't bad either at +200. If it was a 12 rounder I'd probably do that

The oddsmakers are having some sort of hardcore year..

                  They've been ICE supposedly.
