I don't see how that's a knock in the slightest bit.

There are only a handful of people in boxing who's power compares to Kofi.

Exactly. I hate when people rag on a fighter because he got tagged by a hard hitting "unknown". Automatically they start shouting "exposed!" when in reality there's only a small amount of guys out there who work as hard, or hit as hard as a guy like Jantuah. Demarcus Corley is another prime example of this, when he rocked Cotto.

people keep saying williams throws straight punches....so did cintron..cintron is a harder hitter than williams and doesn't hook his punches ..he throws very straight...what margarito does is keep his long arms up and blocks straight punches with no problem...clottey hooked his punches and that was the difference on why he connected ...i see williams panicking as the fight goes on...margarito will win this fight then it's cotto

Cintron cant put punches together. Williams can throw pretty much every combination.

I'm picking Margarito to win anyway.

I disagree. I think Williams is much more talented. Santos is solid but he never fought anyone and he got KO by Jantuah. Now just because your talented doesnt make you a good fighter."

if santos has fought anyone what does that say about williams record
ur right just because ur talented doesnt make u a good fighter
but i believe santos is still more talented than williams based on experience and technique
williams definetly has more physical tools and a great punch output but i wouldnt say that equal talent
margarito a tall welter with great punch output but i wouldnt say hes talented

and getting knockout by kofi doesnt take away the fact that santos is more talented williams.
williams hasnt face anyone that punches as hard as kofi
and zab got knock by kostya but im pretty sure hes still a talented

i dont really think much of santos but i just dont believe williams is more talented than him

What will Margarito do if Paul attempts to box and move against him? Paul is faster on his feet and has better handspeed. His defense is garbage though.

I actually like Jantuah and he does have mad power but a guy who is at a certain level shouldnt lose to him. Im not ripping Santons. I also like him and the way he boxes but I do think he has benefited from a cupcake resume.

Again, Im also not picking Williams. This is 1 fight that I said is a guaranteed FOTY, and maybe the fight of the decade. I have no ideal who will win. Im completely right down the middle in this one just for the simple fact that you dont know nothing about Williams. He could be a freak and the next Hearns or he could be another Cintron. I definatly dont think he's Cintron though so thats not a good comparison. I never liked Cintron even when people were hyping him. He just seemed like he had power but nothing else. He couldnt put punches together, had bad balance, and seems somewhat uncoordinated. Thats why I think Williams will still be better then him. I do think it could be more like a Tito-Vargas situation where he was rushed too early. You can see that he has talent but will never be as good as he couldve been. On the other hand I think he could straight up abuse Margarito. I just dont know but I know it will be great for however long it last.

I also said that I was just taking up for Williams for a second because I actually feel kind of like the people who think if Mathysee did that then so could Margarito times 10 but who knows. There both very flawed but they both have amazing offenses

He's trained for the fight of his life and who knows, he just might be the second coming of Hearns. He's huge with a long reach, height, and has power. I think he'll give Margarito a lot of problems but if Margarito solves the puzzle and is able to get inside, he could easily chop Williams down. I'm still going with Williams on this one, that and the fact that I can't stand Margarito's bitching and complaining about everyone fearing him and then he barely fights and when he does, he looks like ****(Clottey). No excuse that he hadn't fought in awhile. That kind of performance doesn't make him look dangerous or like the most feared. You know what the truth is? He isn't a big name at all in America, won't bring money, has the power to change a fight he may be losing, and thus nobody wants to risk it against him. He's a high risk low reward fighter. ****, I wouldn't want to face him either. Williams on the other hand is up and coming and has the perfect opportunity to get rid of Margarito and catapult himself into the elite.

Wow, Lampley just said similar things that I mentioned in this post, within like 20 seconds.
