      Now he's not.

He was a couple years ago, when he was only a 4 or 5 to 1 underdog to PBF.

He should have been a 99999-1 underdog.

I don't think Gatti is overrated, just emmensely popular....

He is exciting and has a hige following that are behind him no matter what....I don't think many people would make the clame he is an all time great, or ever was a real world class fighter...

All that said im rooting HARD for Gatti!!

          I think that's a little unfair.

He was no p4p guy, but he was a titlist and one of the top 130 lb. fighters at the time he was there during the 95-97 period. He was still probably a top 10 guy at 140.

          If you're a top 10 contender, I think that makes you world-class.

he was a world champ in the lower weight classes but everybody knows he's just a tough guy with huge balls and a big heart, not a skills guy

No Gatti isnt overrated. He is very good at being exciting and taking punches to the face like a goalkeeper and for that he is as exciting as people say he is. But as a boxer and have the ability to win fights against good boxers he is overrated.

                    Not overrated...

Just over the hill, with a few hundred thousand miles on him.

He can conk out any minute now.

He is well respected and will always be remembered for the sheer entertainment he provided his fans.

Don't know if having Mickey will get his win juices flowing, but as experienced as he is, he should be able to handle the young gun.

An impressive win by Arturo will certainly make all his fans too happy.

But, will give him a false sense of courage for more unnecessary fights.

gatti is gonna woop the **** outta that contender hypejob. you see gomez at the weigh in? Cosby would've mistaken his midsection for jello pudding. i seen some of gatti's recent training. He is a C+ fighter but he has quick hook combinations and will rip up gomez, guaranteed.
