    Tyrone Brunson (18-0, 18 KOs)

Tyrone Brunson (18-0, 18 KOs) is one fight away from making history. That is opening his career with 19 straight first round knockouts -- if he is successful, it is one statistic that will go into the boxing books as well as well as the Guiness Book of Records. But beyond the statistical oddity and the press hype, can Tyrone Brunson really fight? He recently signed with Don King Promotions, a sure sign that he is planning to move on to bigger and better things. And better particularly when it comes to the caliber of boxers the 22-year-old Philadelphia boxer will meet in the future. I want to step up " says the brash young man who makes it clear that he has no intention of being a boxing sideshow (such as Lamar Clark who scores 44 consecutive KOs in the 50's or the 'King of the Four-Rounders' Butterbean more recently) but wants to be taken seriously. ********* sat down with Tyrone and talked about breaking the "record," his new deal with Don King and his aspirations for the future.

didnt we just go over this guy the other day, how he went to New Zealand and beat TWO BUMS IN THE SAME WEEK, one of the guys who was making his pro-debut, no real commission in the world would sanction a fight like that.

I dunno, probably. He's fought 6-7 guys making their pro debuts.
But, 1 more 1st round KO, and he's in the Guinness Book Of World Records.

Guess he just wants to get the record THAN step up, not to sure if I came blame him for wanting to be enshrined for an accomplishment like that.

In a story I read on this guy he is consumed with this record... wants to break it then step up in class of fighter... I think a real contender like Mean Joe Greene would expose this kid for the side show he is
