RAFAEL MARQUEZ on ARCE and DARCHINYAN prior to Donaire fight...

THE RING: Shaw has the promotional rights to VIC DARCHINYAN. Would you go down to 118 to fight him?

JQ: No, no, no. Rafael fighting Darchinyan would be like Rafael slapping a little kid!

    RM:
I wouldn't have anything to gain and everything to lose. What am i going to acheive beating Vic Darchinyan? Nothing!

THE RING: What about Jorge Arce?

JQ: If Christian Mijares just dominated Arce, what's Rafael going to do to him

RM: Exactly. Arce isn't on my level. There are no interesting fights for me at 118

I was amused when Darchinyan was talking about wanting to go up and face Marquez. That would be a savage knockout if I have ever seen it.

There is nobody 122 or under that can beat Rafael Marquez besides Vazquez. I'd love to see Marquez go up to 126 and take on John to avenge his brother.

That would be nice if he moved up and fought Chris John. I wonder if he could ever move up and fight Pac at 130. I think that would be an even better fight than his brother. I mean JMM has the style to beat Pac, but Rafa and Pac would be a nice slugfest.

I don't think the Pacquiao fight would be feasible anymore, but its a nice fatnasy fight. The onyl time I can think of that one happening is back in 2002/2003 when Pacquiao was defending his 122 lb IBF title and Marquez was coming off wins over Johnson and Austni at 118. both guys were flawed back then but had serious power still. That would have been a WAR.

Yeah Im probably dreaming, but that would be an amazing fight. The only way I see that fight happening is if Marquez wipes up SBW and FW and Pac wins the big fights that are in his future. After thinking about that your right it's definitely a longshot.
