It appears the reason WBC heavyweight champ Oleg Maskaev is refusing to sign the contract for his bout with mandatory challenger Samuel Peter is because of the WBC's decision to order what he and his promoter Dennis Rappaport view as an unfair purse split of 55-45 in Maskaev's favor. i thought he was duckin peter when he was tryna get a klitschko fight instead of his mandatory but he has a point in demanding more money. as a champion, he is only makin about 200K more than the challenger. plus hes old, almost 40 so he wants to make as much money as he can for his family before he retires.Comment
