"Anybody can knock him out if they hit him right."-Mayweather Sr.

Mayweather Sr. might have a point when he said, "Anybody can knock him out if they hit him right." Remember what Ajamu did to Roy when he pressured him in the first round. Do you guys think Roy will be able to weather the early storm Hanshaw is likely to bring? I honestly think thats what this fight will come down to. If Hanshaw only fights with constant pressure for one round(like Ajamu), he not likely to win. But if Hanshaw does what Glen Johnson did and can substain it, I think Roy is in big trouble.

hanshaw is nothing special, yea he was a good amateur but this is the pros and this is roy jones, jr., no matter how over the hill he is, he has ring savvy and he knows to box still. i can see this bein exactly like the prince badi fight. hanshaw jumps on him, roy picks his shots carefully, and hanshaw tires out and roy cruises to a UD. hanshaw is thinkin he can KO jones easily cuz tarver and johnson did, so he may be goin in overconfident and relyin on his power, but i dont think that is wise on hanshaw's part, cuz roy knows that everyone thinks he is easy to KO, so hes gonna fight much much smarter...

RJJ could've changed the whole outcome of his 3rd fight with Tarver just by throwing more punches. I thought that one KO punch was lucky as hell but, very welll placed. After that fight, since when has Tarver looked good? That guy is sooo boring to watch.

Remember after Roy was Ko'ed for the first time. He was really Gun-shy coming into the Johnson fight. That was part of his downfall. He didn't throw close to enough punches and didn't land nearly enough punches.

good post man. agree tarver is nothing to me. he would make a good promoter cuz he knows how to talk, but i dont know why he was on the pound for pound list after beatiin jones. he landed a lucky (but like u said very well placed) punch. their third fight, jones was so set on "not getting ko'd and going the distance" he danced too much and avoided bein hit while not hittin. he easily could have taken that fight had he actually fought him. tarver's true skills came to light when he got his ass handed to him by a middleweight...

i'll be waiting for tarver fans to say the reason was the weight loss, and not the fact that b-hop is the ****!! ....

i think roy has been specializing in fighting under pressure cus now he nows everyone will aim for the knock out, he looked like **** n the center of the ring against tarver 3 because now hes to scared to throw punches, because he doesnt have his old speed and reflexes...and he's afraid of being caught, i think hanshaw was planning on boxing and make this jones tarver 3 again, but now roy pissed him off, he wil try to go knock him out and roy will do him what he did to ajamu... at least i hope so...

Yeah I agree, Roy looked 100% ready for that fight but like you said he didn't put out enough offense to win it.

It's a damn shame when we're even discussing the possibility of Roy Jones getting beat by Anthony Hanshaw
