My take on Floyd

Floyd never said that he was better than any of those people! Someone asked him if he can beat Sugar Ray Leonard, and he wouldn't stop emphasizing how much he respected Ray before he said something like, "I think he thinks he could of beaten me and I think I'd of beaten him", but he continually alluded to the fact that he had so much respect for him that he didn't want to dwell on it. The Sugar Ray Robinson and Ali accusations are baseless, he never said that he was better than them..

I don't think he is better than Robinson or Ali. I wouldn't bet on him against Leonard, Hagler, or Hearns either. I think Floyd is the best of his era. I think Floyd believes he would beat Leonard. I never heard him say he was better than Ali and Robinson. He said Ali and Robinson were the best in their time but I'm the best now.

I understand but he also said that he should be the best of all time. He claims that his accomplishments were better than any other boxer ever. I just thought that he was terribly mistaken when he said that.
