Solid resume, that is if you know anything about boxing
Some of the best skills we've ever seen, more skilled then Robinson or Ali

That is backing it up and that is his opinion, so nothings wrong with that.

BTW there is no such a thing as the greatest of all time, it's ****** to pick one fighter as the greatest of all time, each era is different and lets leave at that.

Anyway some of you guys need to stop talking about the same rubbish, it's getting old already!
Titles mean nothing unless you have the resume to be proud of and the spectacular wins to boast of.

    Baldo
    Gatti
    Judah
    An old DLH

    Hugs like Ruiz
    Throws 30 punches per round
Runs like a chicken all night.
    A duck

Now you call that great? Err... Something's a bit wrong here.

When you hold yourself to those standard, such as Floyd has, you better back it up!
Exactly. Nice analysis, you just sucker-punched Fake Floyd fans with this argument.

One doesn't call oneself great without proving it to the naysayers.

      PLAIN AND BASIC COMMON SENSE.

One doesn't insult a fellow boxer then later run like a coward from the challenge. That is not greatness.

Floyd even went on the record to say that he is not impressed with Cotto, and has no interest in fighting him. Read:

In a recent interview with the New York Times , Leonard Ellerbe, advisor to Floyd Mayweather Jr., told the paper that neither he nor Mayweather were impressed by Miguel Cotto's recent eleven-round TKO win over Zab Judah. Ellerbe said that at this moment in time, Mayweather is standing by his decision to stay retired and has no interest in fighting Cotto.

“Miguel Cotto ain’t even in the same stratosphere as Floyd Mayweather,” Ellerbe said. “He’s a good little young fighter. He makes a lot of mistakes. In time, as he gets better, he’ll become a better fighter."

Ellerbe also told the New Jersey Star-Ledger that Judah was not at his best, he was coming off a long layoff, and was physically affected by the low blows that Cotto blasted him with in the first and third round.

"What ... did beating Zab Judah mean? We've been there and did that a year and a half ago," said Ellerbe. "They fought Zab after he just got beat by Floyd, then he's suspended for a whole year ... and you can't count that little fight Zab had in April because it didn't even go a round. Zab didn't have a chance to get any work in. They caught Zab at the right time. His last fight was 12 hard rounds against Floyd (in April 2006). ... Zab is a very good fighter, better than the fighter people saw Saturday night. He was not at his best.

"I picked Zab to knock Cotto out early and he almost did that. He just couldn't sustain that attack because he'd been off too long. Cotto's been busy, like he should be."

Actually Floyd IS a very smart fighter. Hes ducked tough opposition so he can keep his P4P title and his clean record. He really doesn't give a **** about the sport at all. It's all about money to him and retiring undefeated. So he fights men over 30(ODLH, Baldomir, etc) and or immature fighters(Judah). The man isn't a true champ. He is a very very smart champ though. Anyone w/ eyes and a brain knows that Shane Mosley would beat the **** outta Mayweather, that's why he's ducking Mosley until he's 40 or so.

Oscar- Boxing legend, but well past his prime when Floyd faced him. Wasnt even an active fighter at the time.
Baldo- One hit wonder journeyman with 9 losses. Maybe the weakest WW title holder in the history of the sport.
Judah- A guy who has all the talent in the world, but doesnt have the mental focus to finish the big fights. Very unpredictable, and doesnt always come in the ring prepared.
Gatti- Exactly what Floyd called him. A C-class fighter who gained his respect from his wars with Ward.
......I wont even get into the 3-4 bums that Floyd faced before these guys.
He now drops the 154 title/belt to retain the 147lb linear titles, but doesnt want to face the #1 contender....Mosley, or any other 147lb'er for that matter. Now does this sound like a real champ?

This might piss floyd fans off... But its true facts. good post..

Judah is an excellent fighter. I'ts just that he needs to mature and really focus on the task at hand. He needs to work on his stamina as well. The man is great if he's reall warmed up and ready. I don't think he was ready for Cotto and Yoel was shouting useless info at him. Like Deevel said, he only had one comeback fight against a **** unknown fighter.
