I actually do feel bad for Vargas. I think he had the skills to be a very good fighter but they rushed him into that fight with Tito and it ended his career. He was never the same.

Mayorga is talking **** but he's not much smaller then Vargas. His ass has been overweight a few times also and totally not in shape. He said he's going back to 147 and thats a big deal. I dont think he can make it but if he did rededicate himself and make it back there then he is a threat. At that weight he is as strong as an ox, can take a big punch, and hits like a truck. I would love to see him fight Margarito, Cintron, Clottey, or Cotto at that weight

147 was his best weight, imo. Had the combination of power with quicker speed (than he does now). But I highly couldnt make it when he fought Piccorillo, how is he gonna be able to make it now after fighting twice at 160?

i really dont think it was the fact that they "threw" vargas in against tito that ruined him....it was his strategy to go in there and **** with tito going blow for blow....he had the skills to not get caught so cleanly but in my mind wanted to show he could take tito shot's....that's what ruined him.....he did beat quartey before and he himself called tito out in spanish after that fight........

After this fight I’m going back to 147.
If he can actually make the weight, I love this. He is much more effective at 147 where he throws bombs for 12 rounds straight. He may be too old now though.

He looked at least 230 at the Alpha Dog movie premiere. So he's been working hard.

                    But yah...he is a fatty , lol.
