This blokes and ideot, he talks about all the best fighters about to retire and old? Cotto, hatton, dawson, wlad, pacman etc they are all young for there weight divisions. What about liddel who's 37 he's an old boy who gets ko'din one punch. I sometimes enjoy watching ufc for a stand up fight but it'll never compare to the skill of the boxers and the exitment of watching a fight like corrales vs castillo 1, these fighters take flush shots all night an still throw back it kind of shows whichis better.

Anyone watch ufc 73-"stacked"??? They claimed it was the best card ever put together, yet besides one fight the fans booed through every other fight including the main event. Yeah man UFC must be on the up seeing as so much booing was going on.
Watch the Sean Sherk Vs Hermes Franca fight, Sherk was too strong for hermes but thats about all he had on hermes, this is how the fight went:
Round 1-Hermes lands a cracking knee to sherks head, sherk still manages to get hermes down and stays on top of him. Hermes defends most of sherks punches, nothing happens all through the round except sherk is on top of hermes unable to do anything and hermes hasn't the power to get sherk of him.
Same thing happens in rounds two and three, sherk wins a UD and all he did was get hermes down, but then was unable to do anything else and hermes wasn't strong enough to get him off.
This is why i prefer boxing you can't win without striking your opponent, you need skill, speed, you need to out-think your opponent..where-as in UFC learn takedown techniques and keep outmuscling your opponent and take him down and you'll win the fight even if you dont do anything else.

He has a point. There no way to duck in UFC. Closed competition. Boxing? Noone owns it so corruption gets in. Fighters like hatton getting praised as great fighters just because their undefeated wouldn't happen in UFC. They had ONE fake ass champion. The hype lasted 1 month and people got to know who was the best. In Boxing, they drag and drag... Like it less and less.

Miguel Cotto would eat Chuck Liddell alive in a boxing ring or a UFC cage.

UFC might as well be gay ****. I dont know.. I guess if you're into that kind of thing UFC is cool.. But I'm not.

He doesn't know very much about boxing. So how can he evaluate both sports.

He's an idiot to post his ill informed opinions online.

I don't know much about MMA and don't like it. But i don't diss it and i CERTAINLY DON'T profess to understand every part of it. That would just not make sense. What a fool.

As for his beginning argument about there being many martial arts in UFC...well i prefer boxing, and at the end of the day its between one thing -

UFC means - being a jack of all trades and being a master of none.

boxing needs more cards like this weekend's triple header... this is the best card all year, even though its in different places...

last weekend's UFC PPV featured two premiere champions defending their titles(sherk, sliva), the biggest draw in MMA (ortiz), and one of the top 3 heavyweights in the world (Nog).....

when was the last time boxing had a PPV equivalent of that?

Nothing compared to the cards that the WWF was putting out years ago. .
