Darchinyan To Move Up, Wants Rematch

The AAP reports that Vic Darchinyan is leaving the flyweight divsion and moving up to the super flyweight division. Last weekend, Darchinyan suffered the first loss of his career in Connecticut, and the loss of IBF/IBO flyweight titles, when he was knocked out in five rounds by Nonito Donaire. He wants a remacth with Donaire, but only at super flyweight. [details]

Let's see how good Darchinyan does at Super Flyweight after gettin KOed by a SFlyW. He might need a change after what happened and even though Doniare I felt really dominated the whole fight a rematch would be Ok. Because either Vic is going to come back better or the same thing happens.

Plus Donaire might stay down at FW. He's got some good fights for him with Wonjongkam and Komeda. Which could be huge fights in Asia.

Your right and after Wonjongkam and his promoter saw that devastating left hook by Donaire they may not want to have anything to do with him. With that said though there's probably a better possibility of Donaire fighting Wonjongkam than there ever was with Darchinyan.

Hopefully Donaire isn't a one hit wonder. But I do see that he has excellent boxing fundementals, above average defense but his spin moves need to stop. Vic will probably lose again but by UD, as he won't be so eager to KO Donaire.

If Vic fights from a distance, this will be an easy fight for Donaire. Vic will have to move in quick and get out before he's popped. Arce tried that with Mijares and he got nothing by a stiff jab to keep him at bay. Vic does have that puncher's chance.

if nonito cannot fight pongsaklek or komeda ...

a rematch with vic is a very good option, but its not up to vic to make demands that he will fight him only at superfly, nonito has a f_cking belt to defend ...

and their are bigger money fights at superfly like arce and mijares...

Vic is coming back, You Ready?

When Darchinyan comes, You Ready? Expect the Raging Bull to retaliate and do so well with a K.O. win over Donaire, despite Donaire's technical approach.

I don't see any reason in Darchinyan moving up in weight... He didn't looked drained during the fight. He just finally fought someone that was big enough and fast enough to catch him rushing in like he does. If he moves up he will be fighting stronger and taller fighters, which means he will get out boxed badly because I don't he will fight like he did prior to this recent fight again... He will be more cautious and lacks the boxing skill to fight from the outside... I think the best thing he could do right now is fight Arce, they both would have a lot to prove and it would be an exciting fight.
