Well, Zab totally bitched a younger Cosme Rivera knocking him down twice in the first and once in the third before the TKO. If Cosme takes Berto past 6 rounds then we know Berto isn't the truth at all.

He looks good but, come on, he's only fought a bunch of blown up Jr. Welters and past their prime fighters. It's to be expected with a fighter that only has 18 pro fights, tho (unless your name is Floyd Mayweather Jr. who was fighting for his first title where Berto is now).

I'd like to see how he does against Cosme Rivera and, if he gets by him in a couple of rounds, then I'd like to see him matched up against a top 15 guy, someone like Luis Collazo, Arturo Gatti, or even an old Sharmba Mitchell. I guess Carlos Quintana would do.

Good fight. Quintana will be a good test for Berto because Berto ain't gonna put a ton of pressure on him...Quintana may be able to use his great boxing ability a little more. Cotto made it a very rough fight and stayed right on top of him. Quintana wasn't able to do the things he was able to do against Julio because Julio backed off after the first couple of rounds.

If Berto applies a lot of pressure I think his fast hands will ultimately catch up to Quintana late, but Quintana is a good fighter, I wouldn't be surprised if he upsets his second high profile prospect by the end of this year.

This fight is really hard to predict...but, I gotta go with Quintana. Berto can't do to Carlos what Cotto did to him. I see Carlos outboxing Berto with Berto having a handful of moments himself...enough to win 4 rounds or so.

Styles make fights. Paul Williams just went six rounds with some journeyman that Randall Bailey knocked out in a single round.

Bailey is known as a KO artist, Williams is not.

This would be a nice fight for Berto. Against a pretty good fighter in Quintana. I don't think Carlos would do the same thing he did against Julio. Berto has more variety to his game and is strong in both hands. It could be a dangerous fight for Berto, but one I think he is ready for by the end of the year. If I had to predict at this moment I would go with Berto KO9. A good fight with Quintana giving Berto trouble, but Berto's hand speed combined with power I think will be a little too much.

Carlos wont fight the same fight with Berto as he did with Julio or Cotto.

each fighter you fighter different and adapte you style according as the same as the other fighter does the same.

Its like predicting the outcome style of the other fighter and train accordingly to it.
