Will Mayorga and Vargas be an exciting fight?

All roads lead to an exciting match. I can't think of any reason why this won't be a war. Mayorga always comes to fight, and Vargas never hugs.

This is a hundred times more exciting than The World Awaits.

I wish this fight happened years ago. I guess this is as best a time as ever considering where both fighters are at in their career.
I hope they both "win". If its a GREAT ENTERTAINING FIGHT (Which it should be) then HBO will have them both on again. I can see either guy fighting Cotto or Hatton or Any other name fighter.

With DK involved, the rumored undercard looks strong (Santos-Rivera, Collazo-Mitchell, Briggs-Hugo Hernan Garay), this could be a decent buy for boxing fans, though I can't afford it.

Im actualy leaning towards Vargas winning a close decision. Mayo will win some of the early rounds but i can see Vargas really taking it to him in the 2nd half of the fight. Mayorga's power hasnt really been much of anything past 147 and im pretty sure that Mayorga's chin can stand up to Vargas's power. It'l be an exciting fight maybe a couple of KD but i can see it going the distance

If Vargas uses his jab I easily see him winning, because that's all you have to do against fighters like Mayorga, but if he tries to go to war and forget all his training like Vernon Forrest did with Mayorga or let Mayorga get into his head with his antics then Mayorga will win, I think your wrong when you say Mayorga has no power at MW, even though it was Jr MW he rocked Oscar in their fight, and you could see it made Oscar take a second guess about just trying to walk Mayorga down, but of course Oscar's experience and ring generalship to Mayorga being a brawler won him the fight, and I don't think Vargas has the chin that Oscar has, lets hope he ain't Juiced up for this one, lmao
