Post Fight Remarks "Tremendously" Un-Champion-Like
Travis Simms offered a few post fight comments that makes one wonder why fans paid to see him. Once the scores were read, an obvious upset Simms immediately said "F*****g bull****!", in apparent disbelief. Moments later Simms would go over to the new champion Alcine to give him praise and tell him that he "fought a good fight", but added "I hurt my hand in the 2nd round, but no excuses."
"No excuses, but I hurt my hand", "I hurt my hand, but no excuses."
No matter how you put it, it's an excuse. Pretty low coming from the new former champion. Take the loss like a man, and don't offer an excuse, period.
Simms referred to Alcine as a "glorified sparring partner" and stood by his claim even after the fight.

Quality guy, quality win.
Stopped a wrecking ball with 1 single punch and if there's any fighter in the history of boxing who was more deserved of bandwagon fans let me know. Because he came out of nowhere to accomplish that.
He showed excellent skill, poise and ring intelligence moreso than any fighter I've seen since Calzaghe flat out shallocked Lacy.
He wasn't scared of Vic, and was just calculating him like a computer.
Oh and don't give me the "Calzaghe was a champ this that" he was a Welsh nobody who everyone thought would get KTFO
