    Arce & Darchinyan Are Idiots!

This is the problem with boxing and this **** happeneds all the time. There were 2 guys who everyone had rated over everyone else. Instead of fighting eachother, they talk **** and B.S. around forever and then they end up getting upset by someone else. Boxers need to take these big fights when there on the table and stop ****ing around. Its the same thing I say now about Hatton. He should take the Floyd fight now before he ends up getting upset by someone else and then he loses out on everything. Mosley kept screwing around for the 1st Oscar rematch and then he ends up losing to Vernon. Then what always happeneds? These guys egos are so big that they cant believe they really lost to this so called chump and they want the immediate rematch. Then they lose again and are really screwed

Vic is just another victim of overconfidence. He taught he could intimidate everybody with his power. He got careless and paid for it.

Ageed. This happens with the HW division too. Fight mandatories and "showcase" fights and no unification bouts happen...

with the smaller weights, a lot of time is spent on "double headers" or showcase fights featuring the two fighters...just have em fight when it seems hot...

I agree and basically said the same thing in another post. Fight while you're hot. We all knew neither of them were great or really even good fighters in the traditional sense of the term. Darchinyan was waiting to be exposed, and we knew Arce couldn't hang with a real boxer. They didn't fight each other and instead lost to people we wouldn't ever hear of otherwise. Ridiculous, but they both had this coming.

I would still like to see Vic and Arce fight just for the enertainment factor, but your right they could have fought when it meant something, but now they both have to evaluate their careers and see what's up next.

Exactly. Big line is fight while your hot. Manny is a fighter of this theory. He's hot now, so he's been taking on all the big names and has been. No room for really weak tune ups knowing he could be upset by a no name and it would look real bad. This was also Erik Morales. Unfortunately he takes a tune up in Zahir and got upset. Many fighters that are hot don't take the chances or push through with the big fights immediately like they should. They should be after the best and want the best at all costs. Not just leave it up to their management but call out the best while they get their short tv time in interviews and whatnot. **** happens all the time, but it really is in the fighter to decide if he wants the best right now or not.

I never liked Vic ever since the first time I saw him fight, he had this like ******* aura or something surrounding him. I'm glad he got KO'ed, would've liked it better if Arce did it but whatev. Anyone have the fight download.

                  xDDD...
before tonight ive never seen vic fighting, and because of his record and all the comment ive read i thought he was really good. but after watching him tonight i was like, omg what a strange fighting style, and all he did was tap with the left and throw a huge left swing or straight. of course it intimidates, but someone with the ability to counter punch and some balls sooner or later would have done what we saw tonight
it was a beautiful counter btw, and i think donaire is a very good boxer. has skills, is quick, and didnt feel the pressure fighting on a title match.

also, arce may have been overrated, but at least he is a warrior, i really enjoy watching him fight.

Agree. There was an article on a boxing magazine a while ago talking about Henry Armstrong and his team. They thought that a boxer would spend a few years getting to his prime, some time at the top and then the years on the down side. So they went for it during his prime, with the result being arguably the best boxer of all time. Ah, if there were more of those fighters out there these days with that agenda. As if losing to a real opponent is some sort of bad thing. I would rather a fighter loses to real competition to see how they come back from the loss, rather than the supposed undefeated streak against sub-par opposition. But I wax poetically ...

PS Not that there aren't any fighters out there like that still. Surely Eric Morarles is one of this type of fighter, although he is for sure on the down side now. Or his conqueror the Pacman. He mostly fights many upper tier opponents. To name a couple.
