I just lost tons of respect for Darchinyan.

You blind *******s need to check the threads... and see that I WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO PUT UP A NEW THREAD SAYING I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO DONAIRE AND HE BEAT MY BOY.

I ALWAYS SAID THERE IS ONE TRUTH AND IT CANT BE DENIED, I aint no Miranda fan, when my boy loses, I stick around, AND STAND BY HIS SIDE STILL AND GIVE CREDIT TO THE OPPOSITION THAT BEAT HIM.
    well said bro

It doesn't change the basic fact that was one of the most unsportsmanlike things I've ever heard an athlete say when they lost.

Hell you'd figure Tyson of all people would be the bad sportsman after getting beat down by Lewis......yet he showed he had class in the interview.

"You respect me, you respect me? Give me rematch Give me rematch". Why? He's just going to get knocked out by the better fighter again.
      Extremely well stated.

People are being a little hard on Vic. He had just suffered a brutal knockout loss.
Its common for people to ask why the other fighter is dancing in the corner after they suffer a knock out because they suffer memory loss. Its called Post Traumatic Amnesia.

Im guessing Vic didnt really have any idea what was going on around him. He was probably picking up clues as the interview went along. They tell him he lost, he assumes the fight is over and he lost a decision.

He doesnt remember the brutal knockout that he just suffered. He doesnt remember going down, he doesnt remember getting caught flush, he probably doesnt even remember the doctor walking him around the ring.

I wouldnt be supprised if today, he has no memory of giving that post fight interview.

Muhammad Ali didnt remember anything after the 2nd round of his fight with Earnie Shavers.

Gene Fullmer didnt know what happened after he got flatened by SRR's famous left hook.

Vic Darchinyan didnt know what happened after he got flattened by one of the most beautiful counter-hooks we have seen in a while.

I'm glad Vic and Arce lost. Just goes to show: FIGHT WHILE YOU'RE HOT. Now they both got beat by guys hardly anyone knows.
Excellent point. They couldn't come to an agreement and they didn't take there opportunity to make a big money fight, and now this is what they get. In the very low weight classes it is going to be very difficult to build back up to where they were.

I always though Darchinyan was a bit overrated because I remember in his fight with Irene Pacheco he was fading and tiring badly and losing the fight, then some bizarre fireworks display halted the fight for 5-10 minutes and gave him a breather and he knocked out Pacheco.

Vanes you cant say you wouldnt talk allot of **** about how good your fighters were and how they would knock anybody out and even dare to say that he would challenge and beat the Marquez vs Vazques winner. I knew this was going to happen to you sooner or later (one of your fighters loosing) and get you heart broken, Welcome to boxing I had my heart broken plenty of times.
