You guys are smoking if you think Floyd cant fight on the inside. You guys better go back and watch the film. He's probally the best in-fighter in the game but he just only does it when he has to. He'll definatly fight Hatton on the inside for the simple fact that Hatton has speed and has the style that he's going to get close to you no matter what. Floyd will want to stay on the outside for the most part but he knows that with Hattons style he will have to fight alot on the inside and it wont bother him one bit. All people do is think about all this other crap when it comes to in-fighting but thats not true. In-fighting can also be an art. Dont be mistakened to think that Hatton will abuse him on the inside. Floyd does a great job at standing shoulder to shoulder, picking off your punches, then firing back with lazer counters. He can do this to Hatton also. Even Collazo did it a ton. Floyd is not going to spend alot of time grabbing Hatton because it would wear him out. He'll fight him there. He's also not going to spend alot of time breaking out the clinch because it will wear him out.

Most people make the mistake against Hatton by trying to get Hatton's arms off him when he grabs you. You cant do that. All you need to do is keep your guard up and he cant keep holding you because it will love him open for counters. Collazo did it all night. You guys better check out the N'Dou, Chaves, and a ton of other fights were Floyd was on the inside and did work.

As for the original thread, Floyd hardly ever holds. I know what your talking about but its not like he does that alot. He only does it like once every other round. Also, anyone that thinks the Gatti fight was Floyd's only exciting fight is a fool

i wouldn't say Floyd is boring, thats unfair but I always expect more watching his fights and he doesn't quite deliver to the hype that surrounds him.

EliteSoldier:You're an idiot who knows little about boxing! Mayweather would win inside, or outside with Hatton. Hatton would just be a European version of Gatti!!! This fight should Hatton not fine a way out of it would be nothing short of a brutal killing of Hatton. Why do you think Floyd jumped at this. Gatti like ass-kicking ,Gatti like money. Destroy a public favorite in the process.

Who gives a **** about mayweather, he can retire undefeated. Most people don't even like him because he's boring. Blacks, Whites, Hispanics all don't like his fighting style. Though there are those few who have to be like "Mayweathers black so I'll root for him and pretend that his boring style intrest me"

Then some rabid-floyd fan will bring up the gatti fight... ****ing ridiculous when they can only mention one fight. And he still fought on the out-side and did his same ****ty style. The guy doesn't fight close for a reason:EliteSoldier

I bet you're one of those morons that thought you could box and went to the local gym thinking you could slug your way to a win . Only to run up against a slick fast puncher who refused to sit still and let you slug. What a moron!!!! I can't wait to see what you say after Floyd kills Hatton. I already know what you're going to say, I bet Cotto will kick his ass!!!!! Study and learn the sport before posting ignorant ass comments on the internet.

The only thing I don't like about floyd is the fact he dissed Ali, Robinson, and Leonard. He pretty much said they weren't that great and his accomplishments surpass theirs.

theres no way mayweather will be able to outclinch hatton. thats hatton's game. when hatton gets close, he grabs ur arms and works the body. i dont care how fast floyd is, hatton can catch him. and coming down in weight will surely play a factor for floyd.

the best counter floyd will have will be uppercuts. throw the uppercut when hatton dives in to get close and clinch. the probly wont hurt ricky (cuz mayweather hasnt had power since 135), but they could stun him and stop him in his tracks and (not to mention) score points on the cards.

if hatton can get close and throw flurries like oscar did (albeit ineffectively), he can win. if floyd uses his uppercut (and not his pesky little jab), he will win. staying away from ricky wont be an option, cuz ricky will get close no matter what.

floyd's not impossible to catch or hit.

Floyd will be there to not only fight but as he did with Gatti..he will embarass Hatton
AS I said before..... Ricky Hatton will get knocked out while trying to run in to hold Floyd
For those of you who think that Floyd is boring I don't consider you to be boxing fans. So whatever you say is obsolete.
Even if you didn't like floyd you would love his style just cause you had appreciation for the art.

It would be his best chance. Hopefully the referee in this knows boxing and lets Hatton work on the inside through Mayweather's clinches because he will try this.

Floyd will probably stand in the pocket and make a mockery of Hattons punches, just to prove everybody wrong.
