    Jermain Taylor vs. Bernard Hopkins

After the way B-Hop looked in his last fight (problems with movement, speed, and jabs) I really give J. Taylor a chance at knocking Hopkins off his throne right now. I know Taylor hasn't been tested but I still give him a very good chance. Hopkins is begining to look his age and if were he to get in the square circle with Tarver or Jones he would DEFINITELY get executed.

The Sky commentators were saying that a fight between Taylor & Howard Eastman was being ordered by one of the organisations, this would be a good fight for both & a natural would be the winner fights Hopkins, though Eastman's not the big profile fight that Hopkins is looking for.

Wow that will be a really good fight. Howard has been wanting to prove himself for ages and Jermain is at the level where he wants bigger tests too. This should be amazing if it happens, whoever wins will definatly be worthy enough to fight Bernard because these two are the best middleweights out their apart from Bernard.

I don't see Eastman getting a shot at Hopkins though, it'll probably be a vacant title if Hopkins goes up in weight, still Eastman & Taylor are the 2 best at middleweight below Hopkins, it would really show us if Taylor is the real deal & maybe Eastman can sneak in there(taking for granted he'll take care of Sendra this weekend).

So very true, Eastman has been ready for a big fight for awhile now. It would be a crying shame if he were to get upset before this opportunity. If he beat Jermain that would earn him his respect in the states and world wide. I would hope he would get a shot at Bernard though if he did beat Taylor. Even though Eastman is British i wouldn't be too disappointed if Jermain Taylor won because i like him, he is a upcoming exciting fighter in my opinion

Eastman's been hanging around for a while now fighting for his European belt against lesser guys, Taylor's opposition hasn't been much better, i'm not totally sold on Taylor yet, i dont know what it is but as we said those two are the best of the lot so that's what we've got, it would be a good semi final match to decide the best contender, but will it happen?

I hope it will but now Bernard has beaten the most respectable fighter on the planet i think he will want bigger things like Tarver or Roy. Bernard wants big names on his record now i'm sure and unfortunately that doesn't include either of these guys. I hope i'm wrong but thats how i would think if i was Bernard in his position now.

Yep that's why especially if Eastman won he wouldn't get a shot at Hopkins, too high a risk for very little reward seeing as it would probably be Hopkins 20th defence, Taylor is more viable, the young gun against the grizzled old veteran, i doubt Bernard will fight Tarver, too high in weight, if he can still basically do 154 then he shouldn't go up that high, if Jones comes down to 168 that would be a good one though i see it being a replay of the first fight with neither man wanting to make any mistakes (not that they do but you know what i mean)

I am not sold on Jermain Taylor yet, if he faught Bernad Hopkins next year I would say Hopkins would dominate him. If the fight with Eastman and Taylor happens I would give Eastman a slight edge, but mabey if Taylor beat a guy like Howard Eastman he could show guys like me that he is for real.

I wonder why Bernard would mention fighting Tarver? Surely he has thought about the weight difference. That fight does seem impossible on paper but Bernard has made refernce to it several times. I know Tarver was calling him out, if they do ever meet i want to see Bernard re-arrange Tarvers face. I respect Tarver for beating Roy the way he did but Bernard is one of my favourite fighters and if Tarver where to beat him too i would be really gutted. I like Roy Jones alot, i think the man has amazing talents in the ring and it was a shame that he got beaten by one punch. Roy and Bernard would be a good fight, i could see it been a replay of the first fight. It would be nice for Bernard though because i dare say that is a defeat he wants to try and avenge just like James Toney did when he lost to Roy.
