DARCHINYAN DONAIRE: Will it go the distance?

Vic Darchinyan, as usual, is promising yet another knockout.

The last time he went the distance was over 4 years ago, in 2003 when he faced Alejandro Felix Montiel and was able to dominate and control the action for 10 rounds, but was unable to get the tough Montiel out of there

This time he faces Nonito Donaire, the older brother of one of Darchinyans recent victims, Glen Donaire. Donaire got off easy with a technical decision, after suffering a broken jaw. Tony weeks thought the injury was suffered from an accidental elbow.

Anyway, word among the articles ive read, is that Nonito is the far more skilled of the Donaire brothers. Even though he is younger, Nonito is apparently a boxer with fast handspeed, where as Glen is called a brawler by his brother.

Either way, Its been known since the beggining of time that a skilled boxer, or any fighter that forces VIC to depend on his boxing skill rather then his power, is going to give Vic Darchinyan a world of trouble.

Donaire is probably not the person to serve Darchinyan his first defeat... But i think he pulls Darchinyan into deep waters. Maybe he'll get stopped late, but im predicting DARCHINYAN by UD in a very close decision.

No, Darchinyan is too strong, although I'd like to see him get hurt a little.....

I believe it will go the distance, and to be honest an upset wouldn't completely shock me. I'm not expecting a repeat of Mijares-Arce, but Nonito is a severely underrated boxer.

darchinian will probably knock him out but i got no respect for this guy. he calls out all the true mexican warriors like arce but all he fights are bums. why dont he be a man and fight mijares like arce did and show that hes a real fighter. he needs to stop fighting all the soft opponents. his title is worthless.

Nonito is a very slick fighter and if you made me guess I would say it does go the full twelve.

I called my brother last night and we talked about the monster odds you can get on Donair (+700-800) and I was telling my younger bro that Donaire is not a crazy play at those odds.

Do I expect Nonito to win, No but at those odds he is absolutely worth a look to straight up win this fight.

As long as Donaire can avoid Vic's left bomb, I think it can go the distance and I wouldn't be surprise if Donaire gets the decision.
Donaire is no bum. He might just be the best boxer Vic ever faced.
This will be a good fight....a classic match-up against a brawler and a boxer.
