  • MANNY PACQUIAO vs RICKY HATTON?!?!?!?!

Apparently, insiders believe Hatton wont make a leap to 147 again, and may stay put to fight Manny Pacquiao!

    Quote from ESPN THE MAGAZINE:

"Until recently, Ricky Hatton was expected to move 140 pounds to 147 for a crack at the loaded welterweights. But boxing insiders are now buzzing that he might stay put for a box office bonanza with Manny Pacquiao. Pacman brings a rabid Filipino fan base, and Hatton just pulled 10,000 Brits to Las Vegas for his demolition of Jose Luis Castillo..."

Maybe something official is on its way soon.

    Your thoughts?

i think barrera is going to fight pac-man but maybe sometime in the future? This wont happen anytime soon if it even will happen. Pac would have to come up what? 2 divisions? I'm sure they could make alot of money doing it though

        hatton beats paquao by tko

Ok if this fight were to happen we have to assume that pacman would move up to 140lbs which is ricky's prime and only weight he is good at. Now im not impressed with ricky but he is 43 and 0 and with 42 of those have been fought at 140.

Paquao is a monster at super-feather...BUT.... if he were to move up to 140, he like corrales (R.i.P.) when he moved up to welterweight against clottey, would lose all his power that made him so unstoppable at feather and super-feather and would be ineffective.

Both paquao and hatton are one-dimenstional at what they do but both of their dimensions are very good if they're in their prime weight. If either guy moves up in weight anymore they get their asses handed to them and in this case if paquao were to move up to 140.......I say paquao gets beat by a 8rd tko taking too much punishment from hatton.

Sorry folks but some of you that think paquao is a God, sorry but he is human and he is only 5'4

For his sake pray that he doesn't move up any further in weight then he already is. Plenty of work there anyway, guzman, valero, marquez, barrera <<<

I asked this question on here like a month ago and got ripped for it and Im a guy who never ask questions about guys jumping up alot of weight classes to face a beast at his normal weight.

I just had to wonder since Pac came in at a rediculously 144 pounds against Morales. Pac looked huge in that fight. I said that Pac looked almost as big as Floyd did against Zab at 147. He made EM look like a little boy. Then you have the fact that Hatton's style gives Pac hope. He knows that he's fighting a guy that will come right at him and Hatton has had alot of struggles with southpaws. He always gets caught clean and seems to have a hard time figuring out how to attack them just like he did with Collazo and somewhat with Magee. I know Pac's power probally wont be great at 140 but if he can catch someone with one of those blind southpaw punches then I think he could still hurt you at that weight, e****ally when your fighting a guy like Hatton who just leaps in alot. If he caught Hatton on the way in then it could be lights out. Its a very long shot but I give Pac a better chance then people think simply because of the styles and how huge Pac was against Morales

Hatton comes in at fight night at 150.

Remember, Pac started off his career at 108 (I think).

Yes he looked huge compared to morales but hatton also would look huge in front of paquao. Remember hatton once blew up almost to 200lbs in between a fight. He has no choice but to fight at 140 because he is only 5'6 and a ***** also but at 140 he kills paquao.

This is a fantasy fight because it will never happen. If it was legit then Im sure Rafael would have mentioned it before it was published in the magazine.

Mayweather showed the world that fighter are won by the mind and not by weight.

but if Pac is really intersted then why not but i dont think so because he got full of talent at 130 and even at 135

pac is pretty small to start with he start like 108 going to 140 it as big as Roy going to HW and much more than that
