The point I always try to make is, race has nothing to do with boxing ability. It has to do with level of fitness, training, strength, stamina, and most important of all, persistance and the hunger to succeed.

The best boxers often come from poverty: Jack Dempsey and Rocky Marciano for example. Because there is a lot less racism toward black people in the US nowadays then there was 40 years ago, fewer black people are growing up in poverty. But there still is widespread serious poverty in the former Soviet states. It seems people who grow up poor often have a greater desire to succeed, an important factor in becoming a top boxer.

Time will tell if the soviet fighters will dominate for the next 30 years. But I think they'll dominate for at LEAST the next 10 or so With Klitschko, Ibragimov,Chagaev,Maskaev as champs and Dimitrenko,Povetkin,Virchis,Boytsov,Platov,Liakhov ich,Valuev as all the real leading contenders and/or prospects. Like I've said before we're experiencing a soviet revolution in boxing. Much like the latino revolution when you saw Monzon,Duran,Chavez,Arguello,Galindez,Carlos Ortiz etc in the late 60's and early 70's. Whites stopped boxing. NOT because they can't fight like most left-wing ******** will have you believe.

We should have seen this Euro-Soviet revolution coming with Kostya Tszyu and Vassily Jirov(Tszyu dominated Vernon Forest in amateurs 33-9 or 32-8 I can't remember the exact score either way he dominated)(And Jirov won the gold and won the Val Barker Trophy) I find it digusting that there's a double standard in American society to Dog out and even make fun of white men saying they can't do this or that. Sports stereotypes these days are becoming untrue. Want examples? Look at latinos and baseball people said latinos can't play ball because they didn't speak english or where too dumb to play. Have you seen baseball today? Blacks too dumb to play quarterback look at college football when majority of the top 10 teams 6 or 7 teams had black quarterbacks. And last but not least you have boxing where whites aren't SUPPOSED to be good at. WTF go watch classic boxing from the 30's,40's,50's you'll see a bunch world champs that were of the pale skin complexion. Boxing is the wrong place to stereotype cause in here you can get your ass kicked and even killed in the ring. White americans are hardly visible in boxing because they have more options to make it. Boxing is the poor man's golf.

I also agree with werewolf that's it is different when the shoe is on the other foot but you have to understand who's in the media. Mainly ******** who have infected white kids to think they're inferior athletes. That's why soviets IMO have dominated so far they don't think that way.They don't think the black athlete is the greatest and whites don't have a chance. Not saying they think they're superior but they have been brought up to "beat the americans".Compared to white kids who are taught they ain't that good.
