When asked if he would ever consider a possible move to mixed martial arts, Jones was quick to to no. Unlike other boxers, Jones plans to stick to the craft he knows best.
"No, because that's not something I trained at for all these years to be out there for a quick fix. I don't go out there to knock you out in the first round. I go out to dissect you, use my art and skill to break you down and defeat you," Jones said.
Roy's explanation of this is why I'm a Boxing fan.

it more suitable for Roy to got to MMA then Mayweather because he got the power and speed as well as style.
another thing he forgot to put for the MMA thing is that boxers have vurnable feet. those low kick is going to effect many of the boxers because they are not used to protecting that area

"Most of them are just tough guys who like to fight."

Precisely! It doesn't take much training to learn to fight and it should be obviously to anybody that most of those jokers in mma/ufc have had little if any training.

i guess jones doesnt realize most of the fighters in mma even if they start @ 27 or whatever he said have been wrestling for years or practicing jiu jutsu, no one just decides one day they will jump in a ring of any kind unless its fake wwe stuff and even still you need training for that to

I can't deny that there are some guys who really have trained for just a few months, but these guys are not in the UFC, they work the smaller, local shows.
I also think calling them 'jokers' is a chicken-**** thing to do, considering all through the mid-90s Ralph Gracie was calling him out and Roy never took him up on it.

And many more began BJJ as kids too. Alot are also world BJJ and submission grappling champions, like Jeff Monson.

Grappling changes the dynamic of the sport so much, it's almost impossible to become a world class striker like you can in boxing. You are too worried about defending the take down, elbows, knees, kicks ect. Thats why you hardly see great body punching in MMA because it's almost impossible to do.
