Mayweather by decision is the most logical choice, however i think it would be close. Hatton could pull it off, but not without taking a few hard shots throughout the fight. Regardless of what happens, hatton will give mayweather his toughest fight to date.

Floyd will not lose to Hatton. Plain and simple. Not only will he win, but he'll give Hatton a beating that he's never experienced before. Mark my words, remember I said this, save this quote somewhere and rip me apart if Hatton wins, but Floyd Mayweather beats Ricky Hatton seven days a week.

Yawwnnnn that PBf is much stronger right now. PBf beat him the 2nd time also. BTW Hatton doesnt stand a chance against PBF this fight is dumb. Beating hatton doesnt prove anything. Hatton is a overated bum who wrestled his way up to where he is right now. PBF will destroy him and can posibly knock him out. U people need to understand that hatton is much much slower then gatti. Look at what PBF did to gatti he can do the same to hatton if he cooses to. But I am sure PBF will take this fight easy and get a easy win.

hatton has the tools to beat mayweather. i hope he takes the fight and exposes the fraud mayweather.
C'mon now, nobody is exposing Floyd at anything. Floyd Mayweather has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is a world class boxer, if Hatton were to pull off a dramatic win against Pretty Boy then it will mean that Floyd was beaten by a fellow world class boxer. Just as Hatton wouldn't be "exposed" by being beaten by Mayweather.

Look, the head and the bookies put Floyd as a wide favourite, but upsets happen frequently in boxing and this is the kind of upset that happens more often than not. Duran-Leonard, La-Motta - Robinson, Braddock - Baer, hell Balboa - Creed, this sort of fight is practically a dead cert to be a stunner in the results.

i realy hope it turns out to be a great fight and not like the DLH fight whitch i thought was a load of bull ****.

btw if hatton does win do u think there will be a rematch?
I agree, but mainly because I have seen matchups like this in the other ranks.. Pure, raw, unbridled agression at the hghest levels of the sport is very little match for technique..

You just have to have enough of it.

I have acknowledged I have major doubts picking against PBF on this - but Hatton has the tools to do this.

If Ricky Hatton gets an opportunity to get in the ring with Floyd Mayweather he will fight as if his life depends on it for 36 minutes.

            Better believe that.

People need to slow things down.
Hatton destroyed Castillo, which is impressive and has people on the bandwagon now but Castillo is past it and clearly showed it throughout the fight. 2 fights before that, Hatton nearly lost to Collazo and many feel he did lose.
I don't see Hatton beating Mayweather and I see Mayweather possibly stopping him no less.

Lol, very diplomatic of you to say that. I wont rip you apart if Hatton can win. But you should play your cards closer to your chest a bit, and not say PBF will give Hatton the beating of his life, even if PBF would beat him.

Shoiuldnt really bring the Collazo fight up too much really. Hatton is human and on any given day he can lose if he doesnt perform 100& but that applies to everyone including PBF.
Hatton has done OK since Collazo though.

                  That's right, Hugh.

Mayweather lost to Castillo in I - if we want to start going that route..

Styles make fights. People, please remember; let's not forget that.

I myself, have Hatton to beat Mayweather because of the style matchup.

Willie Pep is one of the greatest ever, technique up the ying-yang..

But an agressive, rangy guy named Sandy owned him.

Many differences here.. But the fundamental issue should be noted.

The Collazo fight is brought up too often, and really unnecessarily. Even Hatton's biggest fans can see him as beatable. That's part of his appeal as a fighter. It's the same thing that makes Batman way cooler than Superman: What's the fun with a Superhero that is virtually invulnerable? Hatton is fun to watch because he might lose, but he survives on grit and courage and aggression.

So we know that Floyd can beat Hatton.

Floyd's fans generally consider Floyd to be completely unbeatable. That's why it's not a double standard to point to the first Castillo fight: It shows us something we don't know. It shows us that Floyd has weaknesses like everyone else.
