I agree with peroxide that Hatton could KO Mayweather. For all those Floyd fans who say Hatton hasn't got a chance, go back and look at the Hatton Tsyzu fight. If Hatton can execute the same fight plan, then I think he'll be able to frustrate Floyd, wear him down and get a late KO. I don't think any of Mayweather's opponents up till now have had anything like Ricky's ability to stick to his man and pile on the pressure. If you look at the 1st Castillo - mayweather and Mayweather - De la Hoya you can see that it is possible to rattle Mayweather using pressure and Ricky isn't going to stand there looking at Mayweather half as much as those two fighters did. He's going to be coming forward all the time.
Having said all of that though, it would be childish to deny that Mayweather also has the ability to outbox Ricky in exactly the same way he has done to virtually every opponent up till now. He's a great fighter. It is also true that Hatton hasn't been impressive for a while now, almost beaten by Collazo, average against Urango and no doubt about it, Castillo WAS shot. The question for Ricky, which I suppose only he and his camp know the answer to, is whether the excuses he gave for those poor performances (particularly Collazo, bloated sluggish, short notice of weight etc) are true, or whether in fact he has lost something since the Tszyu fight. If so then it is going to be hard for him and I see a Mayweather UD. If Ricky has still got 'it' and can still be all action for twelve rounds like he used to, then I don't think mayweather is going to be able to live with him. One thing is for sure though, Hatton has NO chance of a points decision if the fight is any way close, so in my opinion he HAS to knock Mayweather out.
So its either a Mayweather UD or Ricky Hatton by late KO.
I by the way, am a brit and a hatton fan, but I'm not blind to his faults either.
