Are Calzaghe and Kessler known in America?

i would assume, that calzaghe is a name known to the knowledgable boxing fan, he has beaten a couple of american fighters, lacy and the pretender manfredo..

kessler is a little known based an his beating of andreade..

but what their names doesnt give, the fight does.. total unification, the indisputed smw, who would easely be in contention to fight the americans mw in taylor, pavlk, winky and bhop...

eventhough their names doesnt ring a bell in the average fan, they indeed respect the words unified and especially undisputed..

Why would they be interested in it?? Calzaghe-Bika had viewing figures of 1.9 million, compare that to Benn-Eubank II drawing 18 million (that's like 10% FFS)

And ITV have rarely paid six-figures for single fights outside of Nigel Benn (Eubank had a £1million-a-year deal)

fair enough I was unsure on what ITV would offer, just goes to show if your names not Dierdre and you shag every man on the street then no-one wants to watch
