Im really interested in the Joe Louis one Lee is doing. I hope he goes into Louis' last years where he was broke and a door man in Vegas. One of the most recognized athletes of that time and he died broke.

yeah i thought i've seen a movie with james earl jones in it about being a black HW. that was a long ass time ago.

i thought of another fighter that should have a movie done about him...............Bobby Chacon. he was champ and was exciting then after boxing chewed him up life did the same thing to where he was homeless and living on the streets. then a priest of a church saw him and took him in and helped him to get back on his feet, which was a far cry from where he once was, but now he is helping kids and is appreciated by the people in his community...........i thought it was a sad story of how a boxer rises to the top to fall off the face of the earth and how it took a soulful person to find him again and help him out. sad stuff, he was like tapia when it came to drugs it's seems.

everytime i go into ceasar's palace here in vegas i always stop by and touch gloves with the Joe Louis statue. i always have to pay my respects to The Brown Bomber.........................it's only right, not only was he one of the greatest heavyweight champions he was a veteran who fought for his country during his fighting career. god bless him.

I'd like to see the story of Joe Louis against Max Schmeling. That could be simply outstanding.

lots of love for my israeli and *** brethren, but to do a story about salita was lame and totally premature. it debuted not too far from me a couple weeks ago here in silver spring, MD - heard it was a bore from a buddy of mine who works next door to AFI.

anyway, a story about ouma, would be incredible. hopkins has a great story of perseverance too. i'd like to see a real story of tragedy turned success, miranda fits the bill too.

No. The one based on Holmes/Cooney was titled: "The Great White Hype."

Same thing will happen when Calzaghe steps in the ring with Kessler, if he beats him people will down-rate Kessler. Calzaghe deserves respect and a movie made after him.
