I saw the Holmes/Spinks fight. Both times I thought Spinks won. Me and the history teacher saw the tapes together (I was living in a high school dorm). We both scored the win for Spinks. He did hurt Spinks but couldn't finish him.

It was a good match, compared to the post Holmes/pre-Tyson void.

Holmes was pissed that they screwed him, that was right after the first Spinks fight, I had Holmes winning both Spinks fight, I don't think Spinks did enough to get the belt from Larry Holmes.

An old Holmes dominated a prime Mercer, years later Lennox Lewis had trouble beating Ray Mercer, many thought Mercer was robbed!

In my opinion Ali and Holmes are 2 of the best heavyweights of all time, I see both men beating everyone else.

the mercer holmes beat was the same out of shape mercer that lost to jesse ferguson and drew with marion wilson,, that was also before mercer developed a jab. as far as the spinks fights go,,,,I thought spinks won the first by 2 rounds,,,but I had holmes winning the rematch

Holmes would have been annihilated by a prime Ali, any version of Foreman, and was annihilated by the same Tyson that ducked George Foreman. And I'm a big fan of Holmes, in fact I own a pair of sweatpants from Everlast that say 'HOLMES' embroidered on the leg, so I mean I'm not a hater, just being real.
