More dueling dates between cable television rivals, HBO and Showtime. This time the war will be fought on October 6. On HBO pay-per-view, the headliner is the long awaited rematch between rivals Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera. The winner will probably face the winner of September's pay-per-view main event between super featherweight champ Juan Manuel Marquez and challenger Jorge Barrios. [details]

That is so dumb. If it's not the promoters that are hurting the sport, it's then the tv networks that do dumb **** like this. Why would they do that when they know everyone would want to see both fights equally but can only view 1 at a time? So ***in ******, it makes me sick. Of course I'm also going with Pac-Barrera, but this is just a dumb move by Shotime either way.Comment

Showtime always has shows on the first Saturday of every month so this ones HBO's fault. Showtime cant move it back a week either because of the Dawson/Tarver fight.
I blame the WBC. This fight should have happened already, if it werent for Vitali being named number one contender.Comment
